Covid-19 statistics

So, I shouldn't believe a well respected physician? Wisconsin is doing 20,000 tests a day with a 25% positivity rate. Seems plausible a large hospital in Green Bay could be doing that number. He would have no reason to make it up when texting me about it.

No. Not plausible. Research it for yourself. That volume is not realistic nor sustainable at any hospital. Sorry.

There are 160 hospitals in the state of WI. That means at MOST any one hospital can do 125 tests based on your number of 20,000 day. This doesn’t include every lab, physician practice, public lab and drive up testing site.

Tell your friend the OB/GYN doctor to come out from between all those legs and give it another guess.

Not looking good. Be prepared. Harris will be President within 60 days and Pelosi will be VP. Gas will be $10/gallon, 50% of your pay will go to taxes and another 25% to healthcare. No lie, I may be further ahead flipping burgers for the rest of my life. I am a System Security Engineer with a great income but high stress. By the time they take their cut I might be further ahead in a less stressful job. If I take enough of a pay cut I can get everything free.
Nah. As bad as it may be, the Republicans look to be keeping the Senate so we’ll have divided government. What’s weird is the Republicans actually had a pretty good night. Held the senate, picked up some house seats. Should that happen when your president goes down?

Funny thing is how long PA has been a democratic state yet the AG was losing to a Republican last update I saw and pretty sure Tom Wolf has ruined any chances the next Governor will be a dem. Wolf has already had several corruption allegations against him with this COVID deal. They will do whatever it takes to be sure dems get every seat available anywhere and it wouldn't surprise me a bit if it came out there was shady stuff going on here. I mean they already said they are accepting mail-ins until Friday and refused to start processing any already received until last night. As far as I know no other state did that. The shady stuff Wolf was accused of was shutting down businesses during COVID and how he went about choosing who got shut down and who didn't. The company he formerly owned was allowed to stay open while their competitors had to close.

If you believe any hospital is able to perform 500 COVID tests per day ... you are dealing w other issues.
The Physician was probably talking about the hospital network rather than the actual hospital facility. It's not unrealistic for a hospital network to test 500 a day.

Ya that's what I'd think. According to the WI covid site there are currently 125 testing labs with a capacity of 57,000 tests per day.

Who would have believed the Trump supporters, and Trump himself, when they predicted the China Virus would be gone 4 November!
Haven’t heard a thing about it since.

I think its great that the Republican's held the senate. Trump did his damage, made his mark, whatever, and now the government can work on real issues without the divisiveness. About 50% are on each side. You need to work together to find common ground. You can’t govern from the extremes. Only in communist dictatorships does that work.

Sorting out who won the election might be a little bit more of a focus for a little while before COVID comes back into the limelight.
Our firm got an economic and heath care impact updated his morning. Its not going away any time soon.

I agree.

Well wife is a teacher and they had a meeting today after work and starting this coming Monday they will be all virtual but all teachers and staff still have to report every day and teach remotely from the school. Also, wife went to stop at a local McD's and they were closed and yellow tape in front of it. So tonight we went to stop at one of our favorite eateries. It's a 50's style carhop where the girls come out and put the tray on your window. Anyway, they were closed with yellow tape in front of the doors.

Biden gets in we won't be allowed to leave our house for a month and you will be arrested if you do. 8 steps to socialism and we are almost there. We are being controlled and divided and the Dem's have been leading the way steering that ship

We have a little uprising in my town. Restaurants ordered to close indoor dining. Many have stayed open. Gonna get interesting.

Just heard about the carhop place. I guess they are remodeling so not COVID related (at least that's what they posted)
