Boat Info
Sea Ray Sundancer 240 w/Gamin GPS map 541. Tow vehicle is a Ram 2500 pickup
Engines
5.0 Mercruiser w/Bravo III drive
I bought a Sea Ray Sundancer 240 in June. I had it surveyed and the surveyor caught that the outlets weren't powered so the instructions were to replace the first GFRC switch inside the rear compartment where the power comes in. The Marina said it was all fixed. Now that it is fall I went in to plug my air dryer in and no power :(.

With all that said the 110 outlet in the cabin actually has a very small green light on it and it is on but still there is no power. So where do I look and what do I look for. Does this 110 line come into the box then branch out to the outlets. There is an outlet as mentioned in the cabin and one behind the helm in the cockpit.

This is a 2011 boat everything should be working and I missing something here.

Please help.

Thanks
Mark

My bet is that there is another GFCI outlet in the head that needs to be reset. Sometimes they are hard to find.

Mitch is correct. Look inside cabinets in the head and anywhere you can think of for another GFRC. Sea Ray is good at hiding them.

Also, make sure that all of the 110 breakers are on. Do other 110v items work like the TV, coffee maker, microwave, etc. That will at least let you know power is getting to the panel. Lastly, you're assuming the people that did the work got it fixed correctly. Wouldn't be the first time a boat yard screwed the pooch on a repair. I would have them come to the boat and show you they're work was complete. Did they test their work after the work was done?

If the light is on the GFCI, it should be working. Could it be the hairdryer? Test outlet with something different (or better use a voltmeter)

Some will light up when they are working, some light up when they are tripped...

make sure it’s hooked up properly, line is the hot in, load is the receptacles after the gfci that you want to be protected

I had a lineman buddy change his out, called and said it wasn’t working. He kept the wires the same (top to bottom) but the line was on the top, now the new one had it on bottom....

So it could def be that simple, or even one of the neutrals switches also...
