Ceramic coated the hull 410 Dancer

Presta makes that spray on ceramic coating. Seems like a hybrid. I am going to try it on the topside over this winter to see how it lasts when they launch in spring. That way of if wears too quick I’ll be able to do something about it in the covered well vs hull which you are waiting to haul out.

I tried a spray-on ceramic called HyrdroSilex a couple seasons back. I wrote a rather honest review somewhere around here. Bottom line - the stuff smelled so dang good I ended up converting it to toilet bowl cleaner on my boat. I still use it for spot cleaning inside the head :) As far as surface protection goes it was absolute, overpriced garbage when compared side by side with plane jane cheapo Meguires Flagship wax...

I have it on my car.
Has to be renewed every year but looks good.
By year end rain water stops beading.

That's strange, my wife's Volvo's going on 3 years with Ceramic Pro and it's still just as slick as day one. I do use Gyeon or Beadmaker spray every couple washes though.

I had my Dodge ceramic coated professionally using the Feynlab Products. 5 year warrantee but they say usually good to 7 years with proper care. Feynlab also makes a line of Marine ceramic coating products. I would imagine a boat of any size would be rather costly; my car which was new was about $2K.

I also have a Volvo now 2 years old.
Had Ceramic Pro applied when new and take it back to detailer yearly for maintenance application.
$100.00 per year.
I use touch free car wash so maybe that is why it doesn’t last the year although detailer says that shouldn’t effect it.
Our Canadian winters probably also doesn’t help.

Ok
So we work with a company called SG Marine.. out of TX
The product is called SG Marine's MetalJacket

Its not like auto type Ceramics, the chemistry is Polysiloxilane more mills than other brands, we are not designed to go over glass or vinly/leather like thin auto ceramics
you can google SG marine, they have more info and testimonials

we have used the product over used hulls to new hulls, one to two coats.. yes its pricey compared to wax but in FL wax any wax is min twice a year.. this should be 3 years min, yes it must be cleaned regularly to maintain the wet look. SG also goes on with just a microfiber pad, we did the entire hull ( not the transom) in 40 mins... others need to be buffed in.
The key is prep and if possible a clean, well lit dry area. We did this in a boat yard in FL with high winds.. it still needs some touch up which I will do in a few weeks. That process is just a lite buff and recoat..
The cost is up to the shop or detailer.. we have limited detailers in limited markets, we are looking to expand if you have a detailer that you want us to speak with... I will be happy and try to answer your questions as best I can or I can get the chemist to answer them...

Yes Presta makes a sealant, very nice and easy expect 6-9 months, but you can put in on your car, glass, leather etc..
the inside of my 410 loves the Presta Hydroprotek
