The Bay made it through this season all though a bumpy one for sure. It starter out with a fear that new group of people show up that might become a problem. Then Covid came crashing in which dampened the in flow of people with the fear of the unknown. We can only hope that by next season the Covid thing will be behind us. I hope that the Bay's Authorities take a hard look at how the boating community will be effected if they don't take people on the docks that don't belong there serious. Covid gave the Bay a reprieve on this issue hopefully they have taken this period to make the dock a little more secure. There are a lot of things that have changed but it would be a shame that our boating community has to. I would only hope this is me over reacting but the out come if I'm not well sure be sad for all. By the way people that are willing to come on the docks up to no good could care less about being on a security camera.

Where were you seeing these problems?
Like I said hopefully it was a few times but there was a problems mentioned about people being on the docks that had no reason to be there late at night. Covid put a damper on the bay this year. Last season we rolled out because the feeling there was just not right. I just hope this trend doesn't start again after we get back to normal.

We spent a lot of time over there this past summer....almost every weekend. I liked the fact it was mostly boaters. The only difference was no bands and no mad dog. We always go to Miller’s and met a lot of people, made new friends and mostly socialized there at night. It was different but still a lot of fun
I have only heard of one instance on B & C this summer where some young people stole a cooler off the back of a boat but that was it.... if you’re going to present an opportunity some one is going to take advantage of it

We usually go during the week . This year was subdued . I for one have never had any problem . I would hate to loose the freedom we have on any of the islands that's one of many things that is great about the boating community.

The problem at South Bass and kelleys islands the prices charged for drinks have gotten out of control. Looking back to the late 70s through the 80s there was little difference if any in drink cost on the islands as compared to the main land. As their prices started to go up I asked why was the cost of drinks going up? Comment in reply was having to pay to have the beer brought over on the ferry. In my reply why then was the stores still selling it for same price as on main land?
