Is there not any 500 sundancer owners on here

Marc, would it be possible to have another tank made and shipped to the US ? I have the same problem almost exactly the same situation you had.....extra holes in tank, grease build up, constant cleaning, etc.

now it’s back on his place. The 3rd hose is from the galley sink. I put a blind plug in the tank, may I ever will make it back to original I can do that.
In coming weeks I make a new hole for the galley sink output.

It’s possible to have another tank made. (Around 4 weeks I had to wait for it.) I think shipping cost will be around 100 euro.
They made a small error though. The pump is placed on a 1cm thick platform on the bottom of the tank so the tank never can be pumped empty. Because of the water flow back from the hose there always be some water in the tank so it’s not that big of an issue.

As I mentioned before I installed a new pump (ruler mate 1100) with integrated float system. When you want the original float then there has to be an extra 1cm platform on the bottom of the highest area in the tank. The new pump is of course not included in the price off the tank.

the grey tube connectors I had to buy separately by a Home Depot shop.

pm me if you really want to let the tank made here.

That's awesome, I really thought the sink was to close to water level to do that. Just what I need, another project. Thanks

I noticed on the sump box on mine that the box has an upper and lower level. The pump is in the lower level while the float switch is on the upper. Kind of a pain that it doesn’t completely empty.
I though about relocating the foot switch but I noticed when I activate it manually the pump will pump all water out but then a lot back washes in when released. Is there some sort of backflow missing?
Trying tog et others thoughts and fixes on this

What I thought about the upper and lower level, the float on higher and pump on lower is to separate the suds when pumping out. In that case you only pump the water out and no suds.
That said, I dont like the amount of water that stays in the sump and therefore I took the float out and installed a new pump with integrated float placed on the lower level.

Still got that problem with back washing in. This problem will stay because when you place a back valve then the water stays in your hose and that we don’t want.

We are happy now with our new sump and the adjustment on drain galley sink, so the only water in the sump will be ‘clean’ shower drain water en ac drains.

Hey all you 500's. I just wanted to chime in on the boat. In Oct 2018 started the Loop after going all over Lake Michigan down the rivers to the Bahamas' and 2 Winters in the Keys. We keep going up and down the coast from Ga now we are in Fort Pierce and the 500 is so reliable and goes fast and slow! Hopefully we will be going to the Abacos again this winter.

Well tomorrow starts my hull detailing project. She’s a little chalky and taking advantage of heated storage to start restoring her shine. I’ll be posting before, during and after pics. I realized today after setting things up that I’m going to need a 15 foot ladder to work the area from about midship to the bow. It’s way up there.

Hahaha done it last year and gonna do it again in February. For your mindset I have a small advise: Start at the bow
For your workhandling change the ladder in to a rolling scaffold.

Looking forward to see your progress.

Ok so started today. Didn’t get too far. Just a pass with the cutting compound.
Here is my weapon of choice with the old harbor freight rotary since no one bought me the nice makita/desalt for Christmas

Here is where I stopped today. I was pretty happy to see this and just the first cut. No polish or wax yet.
As they say you should be able to read in to the reflection of your finish. This before and after tells that story pretty good
