Sea Ray service manuals

Is there such a thing as a Sea Ray service manual? Something similar to a Chilton manual for a car? I am trying trace a gauge issue and such a manual would come in very handy.

Sea Ray also furnished the dealers with a "product information and sales manual" for the dealer service departments. Don't get confused....this is not a sales tol and its not going to be in your dealers sales area. It is written to aid and provide detailed technical information to the service deparments to help them sell service.

Here is another reason to get to know the folks at your dealer. I was able to copy about 100 pages for the 450DA from the one at our dealership. I have needed it 3-4 times in as many years, but having detailed locations for wiring harness connectors and precise plumbing details has saved me a lot of time.

I cannot recall the exact name, but we contacted Mercruiser and gave then our engine serial #'s. They sent us a service manual that details how to do everything on our engine and our V-Drives. AND, the book covers all the electroncis on the boat, including the guages. Per Mercruiser it's the same manual shops use when workign on yoru boat.

Those are the engine and drive manuals you can buy from Merc on their website or sometimes on eBay. I think he was looking at a vessel service manual.

The manuals we have from Merc diagram the electronics on our boat so I think these may help him.

Hi fwebster. Any chance you could please post or send me those 100 pages you scanned for the 450DA? I have a 1999 450DA here in Sydney Australia. Many thanks in advance. Richard Morris

Richard, in the meantime, go to Sea Ray's website... under "Owner's" there's a section for Owner's Manuals and they often have very good info in there - including wiring diagrams. Sometimes they're more "basic" and other times they are quite in-depth - I didn't look at the 450DA manual personally, to say for sure, but there should be at least "some" helpful info in there.

I do not have a scan of the Dealer Service Manual. Perhaps I misspoke. I have a zerox copy of a zerox copy. The ability to read future copies of the manual is doubtful. Additionally, what I have only covers the changes in the 450DA from 1995.5 to 1997, hull #501-#555. It does not cover your 1999 which had the galley to stbd, so plumbing, waste systems and electrical schematics will not be correct.

I can't scan it but will have it copied for you, if you think it will help, sometime this winter when things slow down for me, if you will cover the copy service costs and shipping. If the 1996-1997.5 is what you want, please send me your mailing addresss and I'll let you know the cost when I have it copied.

From the US to AUS that is going to be around $70USD. And that is for the USPS flat rate shipping in a padded envelope. I have sent hoodies to AUS that were custom embroidered and that shipping with the customs forms are a real pain in the butt. Last one shipped took about 5 months to go through customs due to the covid BS there. I think the exchange rate was somewhere like $135AUD. I just paid $35 for shipping of a small decal from there in a 3"x3" mailer. Got the decal for $0.50. LOL
