Have I mentioned how good I think this site is?

Since I sold the 44DB and looking for a 570 Carver Voyager I joined the Carver owner group. There is virtually no activity what so ever on the site. I joined the Carver Facebook group as well but I hate the platform as there is voyager sub group discussion and I have no interest in discussions about 1986 Santegos or what ever. I really wish Sea Ray made a boat comparable to the Voyager just to know I had an owner group to rely on and enjoy. All the posters here deserve a pat on the back for their contribution. The political stuff is a Hoot especially if you don't take it to seriously. I'll remain tuned in here no matter what boat we end up with. Ive rarely met a Sea Ray owner I didn't like. Quality boat draw quality people I guess.

If you have never been on a voyager pilot house, you need to. Amazing boats. And I am not a carver guy either
We have had the opportunity to spend a little time on both the 530 and 570 and either will fit the bill. There just is no other boat with the same comfortable sky lounge style pilot house and the mid ship state room with separated head and shower rooms. These are the two parameters that my wife have fallen in love with and won't budge from so that is the boat we will eventually end up with.

Just buy a 58 DB and stay in the fold!
I could enjoy the 58 DB but we really want a down helm and to be able to store the Rib on the aft bridge and not the swim platform. I realize on and off boarding the rib from the bridge has its challenges but I just don't like it on the swim deck. Just personal preference. Ill stay in the fold just the same.

Just be patient. The Carver owners have beautiful first mates. The forum is an acquired taste.

This site and THT are great boating forums. Lots of great people and a lot of info is shared on both sites.

I just like CarpeDiem...trying to entice him to stay!!!

I've been a member here since 07/08 I believe? Funny thing is I've never even owned a Sea Ray. Almost bought one and that's the reason I joined but ended up going a different route. I definitely enjoy the people and occasional banter.

Check out Symbol yachts. A bit of a niche boat but sounds like something that might what you are looking for. A slip mate of mine has one and loves it. They have been around for a while so there are varying ages of them out there for sale. They are a taiwanese boat I think. He was very happy with it. He takes it back and forth from Florida to Cape cod each season. I walked around on deck and seemed like it was very well built. Here is a pic of his. He was part of a Trump parade when I took a pic of the boat. I am not promoting anything political in the pic.

The Symbol was actually very high on the list. The 54 is actually my first choice. Its about the only boat in its class and size with a true stand up engine room. The problem I have is my lovely bride. Not a bad problem, since she wants a boat as badly as I do and is willing to go back to work to justify moving up a notch, but she is settled on the Voyager and I can live with that. Now I just need to find one. Thanks for the input.

What year/range you looking for in the voyagers?

My friend as the 2000 53 pilot house, I think they were mid 200k, this was 2019 though, it traveled between Kentucky lake and Florida depending on the season.... can’t wait to see the pics when you get her
