got this straight from friend who is a manager there, Nov 1st, new owners took over, nobody sure if they still have a job. Dam i hate it when this happens.

Hopefully new owners can get the T head figured out and stop allowing multiple small boats take it up.

Ya it’s enforced too good. Vicki, good friend mine, manager, tell her, she ain’t shy tell them GTFO.

Last two times we went there with our 460, had 3 or 4 small boats taking up the T head and no where else to park. Ended up turning around and headed over to Frog Mortar creek to another spot.

BTW, clearly marked "40+ FOOT BOATS OR ABOVE ONLY" ....

I found this post and had to, Wednesday nice evening we go Tuna first time this year. As we come up I see a 21’ tied up at the T pier, said to wife gonna be a problem. Sure nuff, sitting at tiki, lots of 35+ came up and left. A lot. new owners better get the pier rules under control.

Then there was THAT guy, obvious new boater, goes bow in, pulpit and anchor hanging over pier so far peeps could barely walk around it. Then because of short finger piers he realizes they can’t get off boat. So he backs out, sins around and tries backing in, 5 times, gives up and leaves. I really felt bad for guy, but no boat damage so he be ok, be a docking champ by July.

Not gonna happen and new owners DO NOT care. I am not going there again. Waste of time and fuel. It's a shame because the place is nice , food is good and atmosphere is good.

The only thing I like about tuna is I am up at head of river past Cutters. Off every Friday in summer. So easy ride for me in zodiac to tuna when wife works. Frog Mortar can be far in a chop on a 7’6” zodiac.

Back in the day when it was Driftwood tieing up to the T Head was never an issue, walking down the pier and not falling threw the missing and loose boards that was another story

they tie up boats next to each other and people will be walking across your boat. :(
I’ve heard that but we are daylight drinkers. The times I been to Sunset, few boats, we avoid the night crowds. Anybody I don’t know rafts to me will find their lines cut and their boat drifting down Frog Mortar.

where is Carson’s? They have plenty of docking?
Carson’s Creekside. Close to my marina, problem there is the slips are huge. Way too big for my 25’. And they have no ladders to climb up from a dinghy. Nice place but it doesn’t work for me. Never seen all the slips full so I guess they have enough.

Carson on Dark Head Creek. Coming up Middle River, were you go left into Hopkins Creek to go to Crazy Tuna, instead go right and Carson is about 1000 yards up on starboard. Nice place, popular, good food.

They have never rafted anyone off of me without permission. During busy times they ask if its ok. I have never declined and had no issues. Actually met some nice folks that way.
