Will it oxidize?

Just a noob question here. I have been working in sections of the 500 trying to do a three step compound polish then wax. The boat is inside heated storage. Because I’m old feeble and weak lol I have been doing sections. So I go and spend a few hours compounding a section, leave and come back next Saturday or Sunday to work on the next. By leaving that section just freshly compounded for several weeks am I going to start to develop oxidation again? I know if I was outside in sun it would be different story.
 
UV is the key factor to oxidizing. You should be fine. You'll need to give it a nice wipe down before the wax, but that should be about it.

Ok thanks. I’m better at the labor vs the science on this stuff lol
 
Oh... and as far working in sections on 50' boat one week at at time... I can't think of any other way to do it without involving my checkbook! ;) It takes time for those shoulder muscles to heal back up!
 
Yeah I did a full three step on a 1/3 of it but the rest I’ve been doing a step and section at a time. I just need to polish the last 2/3 and then wax. It’s still a bit of a chill rub rail down in that building. Surface temp on the hull is about 58.

Always amazes me how peeps go to great length/expense like shrink wrap for winter, when the summer UV is what ruins boats, oxidize, destroy vinyl, etc.
 
We shrink to keep the crap out of the boat, oak leaves that stain, ice snow , bird shit. varmints It's a long list.

Who doesn't shrink in the Northeast? ;)
