Glad to hear you got some good news, Scott. The power of prayer works wonders, thanks again for all of yours.
I got to see the Doctor today for my post surgery visit. The pathology report shows Renal Clear Cell Cancer, which is the most common type of kidney cancer. The report also showed the cancer was not the super aggressive type, but a more docile non-aggressive cancer. (Sucks to have cancer, but if you do, I'll settle for non-aggressive)
The tumor was graded at 2 based on the size, but staged at 1A. Based on that, the lack of spread to any lymph nodes, I have a 95% chance that it will not return statistically. I'll have to undergo screening at 6 months, then every year for ten years, but fingers crossed, I dodged a major bullet by catching it early in the process.
Scott
I can relate to your plight. My wife was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkins Lymphoma in November. Prognosis is good but also hoping for good news after her first scan results on Feb 1. 1/3 of the way through 12 bi-weekly chemo treatments. It's a marathon for sure. Her Dad is battling at the same time with Stage 4 colon cancer. Interesting times we are living though!
Wishing you the best luck moving forward and sending positive thoughts.
