My current stereo remote CMRC2-BSS lost the function to it's "volume down" button. Clarion no longer makes this 6-pin remote. I have found a CMRC1-BSS 6-pin remote, but it's a 3" hole (vs. a 2" hole) and requires power for the LCD...and I don't want to go through the process of drilling a larger hole and pulling a 12v fused power lead. Has anyone replaced their old clarion system and have one of these laying around?
Any better ideas...besides spending the money? Clarion also doesn't make an a 6-8 pin adapter...go figure.

The switch under the membrane has likely reached it mechanical limit or corroded. I'd try https://gaugesaver.com/ and see if he can solder new switches onto the board. As long as the board isnt epoxy potted, might be easily repaired.

I never heard of such a thing...I'll call them on Monday. Thanks!

I will check tomorrow. I should have the head unit, 2 remotes and amplifier. Replaced the stereo in the rinker I just sold.

What head unit and amplifier do you have? Would you sell them and the other remote? Always looking for a stereo upgrade.
Cheers,L

I also have an older clarion remote and head head unit if any one wants it.
