Looks great Andrew! However, after having our arch taken off for transport a few years ago and seeing how it's built I'd be interested to see how that setup holds up in choppy or rough seas.

Great point! There's only those 4 bolts holding down the arch.

Ok Jeff. Part came today. Took it apart. Cleaned it up and plug welded it. Let’s see if it holds. If not at least we tried...

I will definitely post photos and discuss some of the things I've done. I boat on the hudson and just bought the 500 late November from a person out on Long Island . Like some of the other people on this forum I drove it to my slip, the weather turned and we hauled it . These nice days have my craving that first ride of 2021.

It is a pod boat .I'm very excited and a little nervous of the unknown . Saying that I love the sky hook and the speed and handling of the 500. My electronics are also Garmin touch screen installed in 2019 . I will definitely have questions about electronics as my last boat had Raymarine from 2006

first picture of my 2012 500
(Hopefully I downloaded it right!)

Ohh, damn...that's awesome! It should be fine as being in California I'll only need the wipers to clean off the ash from the wildfires! lol ...Can't thank you enough!
LOL you need wiper "brushes" not wiper blades

Anyone know how much bottom paint we need for 1 coat?
Edit:
Does 3 gallons sound reasonable?

Maybe even excessive - 2 should cover it without issue - coats don't have to be too thick

What did you decide to use? Ablative, Hard? Manufacturer?
I had ablative on my last boat but hard on this boat

The boatyard I used down south had recommended Sea Hawk Cukote and I went with that. It's an ablative bottom paint. Held up well last year with ~100 hours on it. I had them do 2 coats last year, just planning on 1 this year. Unless someone tells me that it is not a good idea...
