Westerbeke Gas Generator Alternate Parts Sources

Does anyone know if there is a different manufactor’s controller that will replace a Westerbeke controller govnr 12/24 no over 046945. Westerbeke wants $325.00.

Did you keep the old Governor?

Speed controller board looks like it has a fried spot on it.

Is the genny gas or diesel?
If gas be sure the starter is ignition protected or SAE J1171

You have just found that many westerbeke are based on mitsubishi blocks
Gas, 4.0 2cyl. I will double check the SAE

Please check, if it were diesel it would be a great find.

However I ran the Mitsubihi part number and it comes back as light truck automotive.

Many Amazon/ebay sellers mean well but don't understand the safety issues.

I need help finding a Westerbeke 46874 Magnetic Sensor 3/8Nf 1.43Lg in stock, or an alternate manufacturer's part that will work. Thanks

can you post a bit more info. What unit, D or gas? Or propane?

No. I just located them when you asked for the part. I’ll be more careful.

they do SEEM to be a shipping company like Amazon, just much smaller. I think Westerbeke had them on site.

Since I started this thread, I'll ask. What's the sane move for a replacement governor on a 1998 7.0BCG?
Are there electronic replacements out there? Rebuild? Just part recommendations, please for this thread.
