Formally Margritaville in KW..
anyone been there, rates etc..

We where there a year ago, right before the covid shut everything down. Nice place. Great deck to watch the sunsets. Pool area is a little cramped and no saving chairs. Food is good. Nice outside patio for breakfast although view can be blocked by cruise ship docking. Shops all around the buildings. They have a private island with a beach they’ll take you to if you sign up early enough. Limited access. Close to town, Duval street etc.

I have been there but never stayed there... why are you asking? Are you looking to stay there?

Possibly.. we are looking at a late spring to early summer trip with the 410 from FT Myers to KW for 3-4 days.. everything seems to be around the $6 a foot range..

Awesome...would love to do that one day. I would stay down at Galleon or A&B Marina... I like the restaurants down that way and I would prefer not to look at the cruise ships if they are back up and running by then

Both are in the running for sure... would love to see the Dry Tortugas as well. some reef action as well..

We stayed there last year it’s rocky for sure during the day but settled down at night. It’s a short walk to the pool area you have to walk past the stores etc to get there kinda weird. It was easy in /out we’ve heard Galleon is much nicer

Key West voters banned the large cruise ships from stopping and limited total passengers allowed. From my friend who lives there, the cruise passengers really cause issues but do not buy very much. They eat on the ships for free, so why eat in KW? They hit a few bars and cause issues.

Thats interesting. We always rent a house in the old district. When the cruise ships came in we stayed away from the area and restaurants just too packed

From a friend who just was there in his 480DB:

"extremely wavy. We would not stay there again. The location is perfect but man it gets to rocking in there".
