This just in from Atlanta .....
An Instacart shopper believed he heard someone loading guns in a bathroom stall. Police arrested a man with 6 guns
"I saw an AR-15," he said. "And I was like, you know, this kind of startled me just again with events that recently happened in the grocery store up in Colorado."
Authorities have not said what they believed Marley intended to do with the weapons.
According to the police incident report, Russell was entering the men's restroom when he "heard clicking sounds from the bathroom stall."
"It sounded to him like someone was loading firearms," an Atlanta officer wrote. "He also told me that he saw an AR-15 style rifle leaned against the wall."

I hold no scorn or contempt, just a curiosity about the many collectors that I know. I’m in upstate NY where everyone has guns. Nobody’s house gets robbed here...it’s tantamount to suicide.

Many are just that...collectors and many are people who’s attitudes would cause concern in the face of their arsenal and ammo stockpiles. The “Pry it from my cold, dead hands” crowd if you will.

I hear them expound on the second amendment from a perspective that shows that they don’t understand it at all and sling it around as justification of their obsession.

Despite my FUDD status I have pointed a firearm at someone.

Anyone else here who’s not in law enforcement done that?

so my single shot 50cal 1812 Springfield is a Assault Weapon? It is a so called weapon of war. Or maybe my 45 Colt, it was a sidearm from the US/Mexico war, six rounds of cap and ball. Or my Cub, 8 rounds, the Italians made them for the German officers. Every firearm can be traced to some war, war breeds necessity.

Mary, the biggest issue with what you are asking is you are missing some important facts. To add to that many folks like you have no flipping idea about how or what goes into the purchase of any firearm. Did you know a mental background check can not be done? Can you guess why? Look into it and get back to me.
 
Virginia tried to pass a definition of large capacity mags. Anything over 9 rounds. That would have made many of my handguns illegal.

I’ve been looking for the term “hunting” in MY “Bill of Rights”. Don’t see it. Please refer me to that clause. While you’re there, please look at the 1st Amendment, because I assume you take issue with it as well- what words are banned? Maybe I assume too much.
