So just got tested and they said 2-3 days for results. Anyone know if that includes weekends? Would I get my results back Saturday or Sunday or the middle of next week? Supposed to have jury duty Monday but obviously gonna have to call courthouse tomorrow to see what they say. Kind of pointless if I don't get results until next Wednesday. Started feeling a little sick Monday the 5th. By next Wednesday it will be 9 days. Didn't test earlier cause Tuesday afternoon I felt fine so figured it was just a 24 hour bug or something. Woke up yesterday and about 10:00AM started feeling achy again.

Thanks!

Depends on the testing facility. I got tested a couple of times here in Illinois through one of the state facilities after some 2nd hand exposure last summer. They quoted the same timeline but we heard back within 48 hours, and we did hear back on a weekend. Your facility may be different, but there are plenty of places that offer a rapid test, you could just go get one of those.

Thanks. It was CVS if that matters

Hopefully this helps. My wife and I were tested at a CVS on a Friday. We were given the same timeline. We received the results the next day, Saturday.

I am just getting over a cold...no fever, no aching, no breathing problems or loss of taste.... I thought how in the world did I catch a cold and I am a week from my second vaccine shot

It's my understanding that if you had covid and you get the Pfizer or Moderna shots that you may have some reoccurring symptoms. I'm sure theres an expert on here who could explain.

Guy I work with had both shots a few months ago and said yesterday he wasn't feeling good and was a little worried.

I went on the CVS site to schedule and assumed it was the rapid test. It never did ask me to choose which one I wanted so I went through everything and hit submit. Hopefully we get results back tomorrow.

I'm not too bad. Had the worst headache I have ever had Monday night then body started aching and I was freezing. Didn't sleep much then Tuesday morning took a 2 hour bath with the jets on. By 10:00AM felt pretty good and a few hours later felt perfectly fine. Woke up Wednesday morning feeling good then a few hours later started getting achy again. Today have a cough and runny nose. Body slightly achy but not bad. Who knows. Might be regular bug or whatever. Will find out soon hopefully

I'm waiting on a CVS test from yesterday. No symptoms but a coworker tested positive that I was close to. I get my second moderna shot next week. May have to resort to the home test I saw in the joke thread :)

I needed to take one 5 days before traveling to St Thomas. Took it in the morning and had the results in the evening. Not a rapid test. I think it just depends on if the facility tests or sends it out. Even though I wasn’t sick I was anxious because I didn’t want to miss vacation.

I’ve been told by multiple medical providers that the rapid test is not very accurate. As a case in point, my son got a rapid test that was negative, wow the PCR test administered at the same time came back positive.

Time to get the test results back is highly variable. I’ve gotten a PCR test back in 48 hours, when the published wait time was seven days. Similarly I got a test from CVS and they said 3 to 4 days, and didn’t get the results back for 10 days.

10 days is ridiculous. By then you are either dead or have recovered so what's the point? I wasn't going to bother getting tested at all cause figured it would be a waste of time and money. Heard the rapid tests weren't that accurate but by the time I get the nose swab test back it's too late anyway. If I don't get the results until Wednesday then that is 9 days since my symptoms started. But wife insisted we get tested but now she is agreeing with me that it was a waste to even do it.

Got my 2nd Moderna shot this morning. The first shot caused no problems, so far this one hasn't either. I'm good to go. In two weeks I'll be able to visit my Aunt in assisted living. It'll be the first time since 3/6/20.

Think most test sights are going at least 6 days a week. Depending on the lab, you can hear tomorrow, sat, or monday. I'd still skip jury duty. :)

If it does take 10 days and comes back positive at least you'll have verification of your genetic superiority....you haven't succumb to the virus like many. You're producing antibodies, you've increased the herd immunity by '1'. In doing so you will be integral in defeating the virus...my God man, you'll have a hand in saving many lives world wide.;)

Got my results back today and they were + for COVID. Should be all clear by Thursday the 15th from what I'm reading.

I was sick with Covid-19 two months ago, and I wanted to go to Spain because I was planning a vacation for ten months and because of this illness I left. I mentioned that I did not pass the Covidno test after the symptoms I had, I realized that I had this severe disease. I did a test, and I had negative ones for me. This news was extraordinary, and it made me have a lot of questions about the tests done at the clinic and the symptoms I had. After ten days, I repeated the test, and it again showed me pessimism, but the smell I had was a slab. I decided to continue my journey to Spain.

Im not saying a damn word. Not a thing. Nope. Won’t do it.

BUT I will aks a question. Why in the hell would anyone get the vaccine if they already had the damn China virus?o_O

I went for over a year without getting covid... I get the moderna shots... living my best vaccine life and now I have caught a cold in the middle of summer...what the heck ?
