Official 380 Thread

I changed out both the sidewall and flooring. I had a carpet guy that did my homes. This is the second time. I doesn’t last too long I got maybe 6-7 years out of it. I don’t like the runners. Wood scratches. Carpet feels and looks warmer to me.
I agree with you about the carpet. It all looks very nice!! Very jealous!! I also have a 380.

Does anyone have the prop shaft centerline measurement for 99 380da

This is my neighbors 99...his is 44inches off center

So varying opinions on whether to “wax” top deck non-skid. It is obvious to me that it has to be compounded and treated to protect from UV rays. Some say not to wax because it will create slipping hazard. Is there some special wax to use or do you just compound and polish up a bit around the non-skid? Any info is appreciated. Tim

Another question, bought some Life Caulk and was going to touch up some areas. It says to use their cleaner first. I have looked for it and many vendors that sell the sealer and caulk don’t even sell the cleaner. So the question is what is best to clean the joint with first? What do you use?

I followed his procedure and used the products in this video. I did this to my non-skid on my bow while I was shrink wrapped. Now that I am unwrapped, I am truly impressed with the results. Launching this weekend and will do the rest of the boat.

Morning all, do you all caulk your rubrail and around the port windows? Boat is 19 years and has never been done. Is there a reason? Thinking about 4200.

On another note, I updated the side sundancer emblem, gold to silver stripes and added 4 drink holders throughout and stainless steel cockpit sink

3M 4200 will do the job or some say Sikaflex 295 is good due to its UV resistance. Avoid silicone it shrinks.

Nice updates! Have done similar to ours...

Looking good, like @Mig22 said, similar to our 380 upgrades also, all needed!

Thanks Shaps, I think I’ll give those products a try and see how they hold up.

After 2 years and just shy of 100 hrs, decided to fresh’n up the heat exchanger gaskets and o-rings (#33 & 34 in the drawing). To my surprise 3 out of the 4 were in rough shape. Pretty simple to service, each end cap has a single bolt to remove the plate and change out the each gasket and o-ring. This service is definitely being put on our yearly maintenance schedule from now on.

Thanks for that info Mig22, a maintenance item I didn’t think of and probably overlooked on many boats. Where do you purchase your parts from? Just added this to my list too.

Hi - would you mind sharing the make/model of the replacement faucet and where you purchased that and the silver emblem. Both look great!

Here is what I did for the area behind the salon tv above the refrigerator on my 380.

Nice job on the tv drawer. I’ve been thinking thru solutions to improve ours. Do you by chance have any drawings with dimensions of what you built for that box and tv mount. Willing to share? Would be most grateful. Thx Mark

Thank you so Much! Sure the Faucet is model ITC97261-CP and got it here:

https://www.replacementboatparts.com/search.aspx?find=ITC97261-CP

Sundancer emblem on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/SEA-RAY-SU...319258?hash=item2f2b8ffb9a:g:Q2sAAMXQiNdReVp6

I also installed the vintage SeaRay wave that they had on the 99's in chrome also from ebay, I personally like the like.

Thanks to @Haden for the recommendation on the AquaTech compound and high gloss wax. That along with collinite paste wax brought the shine back.

In addition, I ground out all of the exhaust stress cracks which have been there for years and repaired with spectrum gel coat kit. I also got rid of the gold stripes for charcoal, replaced exhaust vent and painted the vent screws white and finally bottom paint with SeaHawk.

Getting ready to splash Thursday. I will post up pics when I get the Interior back together. Next off season year will attack the cabin with a new fridge and adopt, Chris's idea and paint the brass flat black!

Here are pics of the progress!
