I have a 1998 400 sedan bridge located in Cape May I am looking to hire someone to spend a few hours walking through the boat with me I purchased it from Georgia and just had it shipped to New Jersey if someone’s a captain and knows the area but you also would like to go over the maneuvering of the boat and maybe a few cruises to learn about the general area

Welcome and congat's on your new vessel and your request for help... Great Skipper in the making !!!

Which Marina are you In? I just brought my boat to South Jersey Marina. I will be down there this Thursday. I had a Captain familiar with the local water help me bring it down from the Barnegat Bay. He was very knowledgeable and might be able to help you out depending on his schedule. PM me and we can go from there. Thanks.

To PM, click on the person's name and then click "Start a Conversation."

I had luck finding a excellent Captain to teach me about safety, dock lines, procedures before departure and upon arrival and he spent close to four hours with me performing all sorts of maneuvers with the boat. He was a retired harbor patrol officer and he never touched the controls. He verbally walked me through every step of the process. I found the Captain through a local yacht broker who recommended him.

Steve, great boat, pretty sure you bought it from my friend Mike Z. If you have any questions on the boat, feel free to ask. He kept that boat in great shape.
