Wife’s carpet wish

That looks like a premium install Mark. Love the wall to wall in the companionway from the cockpit to the helm and below. Do most not cover the deck under the aft seats because it is normally wet storage or is there another reason?
Not sure about the deck under the aft bench, the berber was there so the new vinyl is there with a shoe tray...

just added this Corinthian teak to mine. I’ve done it on the last 4 boats and love it!

Beautiful jobs on all the boats. I showed her the one photo of the Berber, that changed her mind fast.

I’m worried my biggest issue will be how to lay it all out. With three forward hatches one one in the stern.

I wish I had kept the old carpet for a template

You have a couple options here... In my case I didn’t like the look of just covering the hatch separately... I like the look of wall to wall sort of speak. I have to pick it up to lift hatches but it’s not like Berber where it’s heavy...the material is pretty light. Good luck with what ever you do.

here is a pick of my aft where it would be two pieces going starboard to port so the hatch could lift.. you can see the break in the seating

The first question is does Corinthian have the templates for your model? In my case with a 450 EB I had to supply them everything. Corinthian has a template making kit which is just a sheet of plastic and some detailed instructions. I ended up purchasing half of my templates (stairs, cockpit and swim platform) from SeaDek. The foam deck manufacturers like SeaDek produce templates that come on large clear plastic rolls with multiple pieces printed on each one. I had to cut out each piece and then tape them together to make larger templates for Corinthian. It was a pain in the ass.
For the flybridge I took my existing carpet pieces and laid them on top of the Corinthian plastic. I cut the plastic fat by 2” and then trimmed them to fit on the boat. Easier, but still a pain. Hopefully they have your model in their system.

Same here. Mine is one piece, no cuts for the hatches. Looks cleaner in my opinion.

No...I had them install the velcro. I did the pattern and it was tight to the edges when I laid the Corinthian down it never moved so I never peeled the adhesive plastic last season ....I will this season. I removed the snaps and filled with matching gel coat.

Blue can you give me a line on the matching gel coat?

Spectrum sells your color in a 2oz paste. You need to get the color from Sea Ray...or spectrum has a search function
Once you have the color you can search for a good price from anywhere....like iBoats.com for example

Thanks

Thank you all. I sent them a email for a quote and to see if the have my old boats template

Can someone give me their comments on Berber carpeting in the cockpit area of my 300we? Wife is liking the Moonshine w/AquaLoc backing but I seem to remember others here have said it’s not a good idea

We had Corinthian with AquaLoc backing in our previous cockpit... the backing work great, and we never bothered to actually snap the carpet down...

Had it for about 8 years, still going strong... although we had to re-stitch the binding in a few places a couple times. Probably exacerbated by using an electric powerwasher on the carpets occasionally.

I'm a fan of the infinity woven floor covering. It was the 1st thing I did to LDII which made the most impact on updating my fixer upper. Snap carpet out (yuck) ..... Snap infinity in. :)

Since joining CSR I have high respect for those that have ripped out their carpet to install updated modern floor covings. When walking through new boats I'm surprised that manufactures are still installing carpet.

Why is this cleat here? View attachment 103051
That's a pretty personal question, don't you think?

We just received our new Infinity woven flooring to replace the carpet in our boat. I still have to install it. I was going to put it in Saturday, but I forgot how much of the backing from my old carpet was stuck to the deck. We bought it from a CSR member. I sent him my carpets as a template. We are sticking with the snaps, which I have to install as well. So i bought the best snap tool I could find.

You are not going to need to install the metal snaps.... My 3 steps down into the salon I only used their soft velcro attachments. The helm & cockpit are snap-free except for some velcro around the engine hatch.

Our boat came from the factory with snaps installed for the carpet in the deck. I don't want to take them out and fill the holes, so I'm going to install snaps in the Infinity.
