It’s further back than it looks.

very carefully...

...hold my beer

Looks a mess but once you cut all those zip ties things should clear up.

Good luck

Whats the task at hand?

I would start with making sure DC power to the amps is disconnected back at the batteries, or where ever power is being pulled from.

Then (as others suggested) cut the zip ties. Pull the screws holding the amp in place and extricate the amp as best possible. Then deal with the wiring.

I think i may have a bad amp. Problem is not really how deep it is its the fact that the 12 panel door is laying in the way of working myself into the space to actually work on it. The parts manual show the amps behind the sofa back. sure would be easier to service in that location. Just wondered if anyone has had to do this and any tricks i am not thinking of. TIA

Oof. I don’t envy you here.

I’d have to go into this project in a good mood myself and know when to take a break. Cutting the zip ties is fine and needed but can you put new ones back?

I ask because I changed a CO alarm last year and couldn’t believe how easy it was to remove (one handed) and what a massive PITA it was to replace once I needed two hands to make connections and secure wires.

Good luck.

Sometimes you have to get the really long zip ties - so you can feed it in/around and get the free end again to zip um. Then cut off the foot of extra! Worst case, start connecting a few together.

If you had a factory install, your parts manual would be correct. This is not factory. . . You need that skinny kid in the neighborhood who can fit into the space. I had to do that a few times. BTW, can you remove / reposition the board that everything is mounted to? I see a few small components screwed to the walls in front of the board. Might make it easier.. . . nevermind, I just noticed that's a bulkhead.

Just bought this boat off of Grand Lake.
BTW it’s all factory. Have the build sheet and all of this is the upgraded audio system.
