I'm an hour from my boat.
Has anyone connected this to a simular vintage boat?

It has smartcraft system view display with non-smartcraft gauges.

Engine sn OW634287 & OW634288
They have the CAN plug on the engines that connect to a Blue Cable that I assume goes the
Helm.
I'm guessing that those two go to some junction box at the helm and feed the System View display.

I'm hoping to learn from someone who has done this so I don't have to spend all day doing research.
Can't get back to my boat for a few days.

So yes, VVMobile should work on your vintage motors. But,..... you need to look under the dash to see what that cable is. It sounds like the cable that SR liked to use that had the resistor built into the cable. If that is the case, it is possible there is not all the network pieces needed under the helm. I have helped a few others on here with similar issues but single engines. You will need to get the specifics of what it has at the helm for both engines.

Thanks for your reply!
I was able to download the Smartcraft System View SC5000 manual.
Based on the diagram, I should have the two cables from the motors connected to a junction box. There are two outputs. One goes to the system view and I think one should be capped off. System View has the two outputs for port and staboard gauge sets that look like they are daisy chained on each side. There is an input for the Ambient temp sensor and an output for the alarm buzzer.

So I think I just plug the VV mobile cable into the spare port on the junction box.

I felt comfortable enough to order the VV MOBILE kit.
Should be here Tuesday.

Do I
I need any code or anything from the box to set it up on my tablet?

It looks like the interface is bluetooth (possibly WiFi), but according to this it should just be checking off what you want to view.

No code. Download the App, and use it to connect via Bluetooth.

Very easy setup, the app finds the vvm and quick process. You may need a smartcraft terminating resistor to get it to work, it goes at the end of the vvm harness to keep the signals from bouncing back

It works. But its really basic.
Not what I had hoped.
Maybe they will update the software to give more engine data.

My smartcraft was in a really bad location pointing at my belly button.
Fixed that!
