420 DA Thread

Does anyone have an option to get replacement sink/trash covers for the counter top?

Also the boat didn't come with the coffee maker. Has anyone found one that fits in the designated location on the boat?

We removed the one from the 44DB when we had it and removed the one in the 420DA as soon as we got it. We use a 1-cup Keruig and store it there. Put it down on the countertop to make coffee and then put it back up there for storage. Also room for more stuff with the old one gone.

We did the exact same thing.

Hey @Zach312 - I wrote up what we did with our Keurig ... basically putting it in the exact same spot as the OEM ... except I bought a low wattage Keurig:

Info on selecting low wattage model:
Coffee maker/Coffee pot

Pic of it in the 420/440 DA cabinet:

Thanks, Headed to the boat this afternoon. It looks like the 2008 had dedicated storage in the pull out (large) cabinet to the fwd end of the galley. It looks like the Keurig fits right into the cabinet on the port side? This might be the way to go. Appreciate the ideas.

I didn't realize when I posted that the others had earlier boats. In 2007, maybe 2006, they moved the coffee pot to the slide out. We still put a single cup Keurig in that location, and moved it to the counter when needed. We removed the cleat that held the stock unit in place, but used the strap. When we sold we reinstalled the original.

Great info.. I will go with this. Seems to make a lot of sense.

Anyone have any ideas if you can find the sink/garbage covers for the counter top?

Geez...I think that’s going to be a tough one.... best you can do is have something made that closely matches or a contrasting color

I was worried about that.. I assumed they got stuck somewhere for transport but I can't find them anywhere on the boat.

You could have some made to fit out of wood...

Make a template out of wood, or styrofoam; go to a local counter top/kitchen remodel business near you and have them make you one out of a flavor of Corian that matches yours closely.

Anyone ever remove fabric covered panels alongside forward bed. My fabric is all stretched and wrinkled.

I did if you are talking about either side of the mattress. There are screws at the very bottom hidden in the fabric...there is nothing at the top
