Posting in general just in case someone has similar unit

Dreaded freezer replacement needed. Current unit is original wesco rpf 50 which I realize is NLA. Anyone come across good alternatives? I don’t care if I lose the storage drawer below the freezer.

Are you sure its a Wesco? Mine is a Waeco. Are you sure yours is dead. Very common for the AC/DC voltage converter to go out on these. The converters (made by Danfoss) are still available and easy to change. I replaced mine last fall.

Not sure about the size compatability but the Dometic CRX series seems to be a common Freezer/Refrigerator replacement option. Pricey but it has some pretty cool features allowing for either Freezer, Refrigerator or both.
 
Last year I had a new control module and was still having issues with it not cooling all of the time. So I replaced replace the AC/DC converter (Waeco MPS-50), and it has worked fine ever since.

Thank you. I mis spelled it. You’re right it’s a Waeco.

It’s not dead yet but it has trouble freezing water. Will check it out. Thank you
 
I had the same issue with my freezer when I got the boat last year. I brought to a local marine fridge repair and they recharged the Freon and it’s been fine ever since.
