Good morning,
While coming back in Saturday while underway I had an alarm go off. It beeps twice every minute. I initially thought it was low battery warning, but it is not. All the gauges indicate no issues. Also checked my fuses and breakers. all good. Did a bit of research and it is indicating it is a "soft alarm" and most likely water pressure sensor or ICA. I just had water pump and Impellers replaced. Any ideas as to what I should look for or what direction to point my mechanic in? Again, boat is running well and alarm comes on almost immediately after starting. Thank you.

If anyone is wondering it was the ICA valve. Super easy fix. Super annoying alarm. I would not buy products off amazon unless OEM. Have a safe 4th and Hope this helps someone down the road.

I'm sure glad yours wasn't so bad, the IAC valve is magnitudes cheaper than my repair.

I had a mystery alarm going off underway. It would stop when I pulled off throttle. But mine was a more persistent beep rather than twice per minute.

In my case it was the transmission cooler alarm (not really mentioned anywhere in my documentation). My tranny was starting to slip. I ended up replacing it 2 years later.

Yes sir guys. IAC typo.

I found all the alarm codes posted in here back in 2009. I will try to find and post

I just did a post of Hard and soft alarms in the General Maintenance forum. Has a bunch and yes, the IAC soft alarm is one of many typical for mercruiser inboard Small blocks. My T6.2L/Bravo IIIs were NOTORIOUS for going through IACs every two years. Always kept 2 on hand because of. Mercruiser design just isnt good. BUT, its lightyears better than using car stuff. As noted, Stick with Quicksilver for mercruiser products. Often $200 more than car stuff but it will work right off the bat.

I ended up installing VesselViewMobile
It gives you the smart craft alerts in human readable form. Very easy to figure out alerts, etc ,etc.
