Rittenhouse case

Well, look at what we have for a POTUS now. Who wanted this crap? Look at every measure of our society and country. It’s a complete chit show.

I’m sure the leftist commie bastards are happy. But, it won’t last much longer.
For me it’s no longer the worst of the two evils. Since Reagan we have had no real leadership. We have had two polar opposites. Tree hugging, the sky is falling groups and the folks that think everyone is out to take their savings. Tree folks want or seem to want every dime for free. Saving folks want you to work for your dimes. Me? Get off your ass and go to work! Since Clinton folks no longer have to prove they are seeking employment. Then Obama, he furthered that by adding time for the unemployed and making it much harder for small companies. Now, I can’t report someone who refused a job and I can’t compete with big businesses pay wise. Even when I can, get them to show up after the first pay day. This is our current and past leadership at its best. Give it to them free…those folks vote for the party…protect those funds…those folks vote for the other group.

You have to be. Growing up, my grandfather built a cabin (or cottage) in N. Indiana on a lake. The 1st cabin on the lake for that matter back in the 20's, which allowed him to pick a pristine sandy spot. Growing up there on the weekends, it seemed about every few weekends during the Summer, a family or some individual would walk through the property from the nearby public access, put their belongings on our dock and go for a swim. My grandfather would come out with his 22 revolver and loose his mind. He'd get a few arguments like, "You don't own the beach!". Thing is, he did own the beach.

Most of the time, people would apologize and leave. It's unfortunate, but I've found being stern seems to be the only way it works. Do you need to be drunk, carry a .22, and scream epitaphs at level 10, like my 'Grandpa' in the 70's, probably not. ;)
Well...I'm no expert on anything but IMHO it doesn't work to talk to all people the same. Some you might just nicely say 'you must have missed my sign, this is private property, I'd appreciate it if you'd leave', others need the message given in a lot more raw/rough way or it's like they can't hear ya'.

Too that I agree, so maybe firm is a better word than stern.

I'm curious as to how much time Alec Baldwin has spent in jail after shooting and killing someone - you know, like Rittenhouse?
None. Haven’t you seen the news? He said today that he didn’t pull the trigger… :rolleyes:o_O

Baldwins gun was a copy/replica. If it was a true copy of the of the old Colts and he didn't pull the trigger then for sure he did something involving the hammer. Remember those guns are single action only, first you manually cock it, then pull the trigger. I'm thinking his thumb slipped off while starting to cock it...ka boom.

Agree. I just pulled mine out of the cabinet. The only way I can get mine to misfire is to pull the hammer back just far enough to not engage the safety. Which brings me to a simple conclusion, he was playing with the gun and it went off

He was probably playing cowboy and slapped the hammer, then pissed his pants........maybe he can do an SNL skit about it.

He says he pulled the hammer back and when he let it go the gun went off.

The crying interview was an act…the guy acts for a living. I wouldn’t believe a word he said. Let’s hope there is film to show the truth for her sake. Going out at the hands of Baldwin would really piss me off…
I didn't know he did an interview, just watched it, he just played his defense lawyer doing the opening argument. It's everyones fault from Sam Colt up to the dead woman herself...except for him.

Here it is again...it was people that killed that woman, not the gun.

There are hundreds if not thousands of accidental/unintentional discharge gun deaths every year. Every single one was caused by improper gun handling/safety and usually not just one thing being done wrong. And almost always the person with the gun in their hand does not go to jail.

Yeah you guys have a hate on for Baldwin because he mocked Trump on SNL. So I get the vitriol that is being spewed. But if you want to string him up, you have to string up a long list of people horribly involved in unintentional gun deaths. God forbid it is ever one of you or someone you know. Here is a simple google search to read over.

No… because he’s an ignorant, hypocritical, loud mouthed asshole. Alec did this to himself, it’s not our fault.

As has been stated, there is a difference between Alec Baldwin the actor and Alec Baldwin the producer. The actor may not be charged but the producer very well could be since he is responsible for what goes on on the set. I'm not speaking from experience here, just what the legal experts have said as I have no idea how the movie production thing works but have heard this from more than 1 legal expert on this case.

Aside from that, he had no idea how a gun worked. In my opinion if he is going to be handling and firing guns on set then he should be familiar enough with gun safety that these types of things are minimalized. From the sounds of his interview (if what he stated was true) he had no idea the gun could go off by cocking the hammer back. Yet he mocks those involved with gun deaths any chance he gets. If you are that big of a voice against something then why do you have the right to make money from it? Meaning he is anti-gun but yet has made millions off of movies involving them (therein lies the hypocrisy)?

What better defence than to say he didn’t pull the trigger?? Who can prove otherwise? Deny, Deny, Deny…
Unless the cameras caught his actions…
