I think the next addition to the 240DA will be integrating SmartCraft into my Axiom-9. I have had a few scares when 17 year old gauges decide they are tired and indicate zero oil pressure and such while underway. I have also had a couple mystery alarms that would have been not such an issue to suss out. I have my NMEA2000 network up and running well. I had the forethought to route a 4 T in the engine room as I passed through there and a spare 2 T under the helm.
Next step is to get the interface module and maybe a junction/splitter block for the smartcraft plug? Anyone know if there is a connection point for the smartcraft cable in the engine room on a 2004 240DA or is it only under the helm? Has anyone installed this? Only one engine in my little boat. So, does that make it easier or harder? Is there a difference in the integration module between single or twins?
