TT, did you have to add sensors for the trim tabs, or were they there from the factory?

Tim
My boat did not have the sensors OEM. Let see, about three years ago I rebuilt the Bennett actuators (they were due) and added the sensors. It was a very easy add. Unfortunately, it seems, they have discontinued the product.

Yeah...I had them on my last boat and liked them. Tried to get them to add to the 44 but no luck.

Any other options out there?

Not to my knowledge. The data point is important so I'm curious why no one has come up with something...

I had these on my winter list. When I saw these posts, checked Amazon and quickly bought the last one. But, they can still be had on other marine supplier sites:
https://www.go2marine.com/Trim-Tab-Indicator-Kit-NMEA -$40 bucks cheaper than what I just bought on Amazon. I wish I'd looked around a little longer.
Saw these on Garmin:
GBT™ 10 Trim Tab Analog Adapter
Described as using Bennet analog sensors from their indicator or Auto-tabs.

Thanks! I'll check them out!

You know? Now that I'm recollecting I originally had the Bennett converters and had a lot of issues with them then bought the Garmin GBT10 converter and wired it to the Bennett sensor wiring. Regardless you still need the Bennett sensor coil and rod added to the actuator.
Yea - I did take some pics -

I would like to redo the back section of the bridge canvas I'd like to get rid of the slant so when i sit at the table I don't have it resting on my head I'm thinking it would be much if the back windows were just straight up and down I'm sure SR designed it for looks over function but like I've said before they're great at building the boat but struggle with Canvas design

Someone on here did that. Extended the base of the bridge with a canvas/frame and then zippered to it for a straight "camper" style back.

I'll have to look back I want to get some ideas so I can pass it along to the canvas people I'm hoping the pipe framing comes off easier then the front did it was glued on so well they didn't need to put screws in it I chipped up the arch when i was beating it with a screw driver and hammer

There was a 44DB THAT WAS LISTED FOR SALE and sold in Jacksonville a year or so ago that had a straight back.
There was pictures of it on boat for sale listings.
Maybe there is some way listing can be found or owners, either previous or current, will see this and reply.

Why did you remove the framing ?

Why did you remove the framing ?
i took the front section down when i bought the boat last year so i could get up to remove the radar, horn and antenia I brought it back from Albany via the Erie canal and there's some very low bridges needed ever inch i could get and go thing we only had about a inch and half clearance at the lowest one you couldn't fit your hand between the bridge and my arch but we made it

The hard top option like Aeo has should be a standard feature. Looks nice
Someone had the top canvas done in white which gave the look of a hard top.
