Omicron, the sequel

@ttmott, how are you feeling today? I am almost back to normal...just some sniffles. One more day maybe.

I know some others that are really struggling through it. It's interesting to track how people recover in differing scenarios.

I hope you are well...

If you lived in Florida, you know, The United States, you could get monoclonal antibody treatments.

But you’re Canadian. Enjoy. There are no treatments for you.

1. The risk of myocarditis is slightly elevated in males aged 40 and younger after a second shot.
2. The number of excess heart issues in the above population is small and estimated to be 2 extra cases per million of the vaccinated males aged 40 or less.
3. The risk of myocarditis is higher from Covid than from the vaccinations.
4. These findings are correlations and not causal.
5. These excess findings pertain to males only.
6. The article was not peer reviewed and no doubt contains over or underestimates of the risks associated with vaccination according the authors. However, the level of confidence in the findings is at the 95% level.

I am glad we have experts like @alnav to reinterpret past events, maybe he could straighten out Supreme Court justice Breyer.

Vaccine mandate would prevent 100% of US cases (Breyer)

Yep, not reduce symptoms, PREVENT WUWHO FLU.

That is what they sold the American people if they got the vaccine. A Supreme Court justice still believes it…
This case is a bright light example of how dangerous an activist Supreme Court is. Some of these justices are just making chit up to push the narrative. This country is doomed.

Okay...now we are getting somewhere.... closer to the truth...I dont think we are there yet but a bit of progress.

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul released data Friday breaking down COVID-19 hospitalizations by those who were admitted due to the virus and those who were admitted for other reasons but were found to have the illness.

Included in the data was a chart showing "how many hospitalized individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 were admitted for COVID-19/COVID-19 complications and how many were admitted for non-COVID-19 conditions."

Alyssa Katz on Twitter: "New York has its first official breakdown of what share of people are hospitalized for COVID vs. how many are hospitalized with incidental COVID. In NYC it's 49% for COVID, everyone else just happened to test positive. https://t.co/fNUmMK2DM9" / Twitter

The CDC released their numbers that cover the first year of infections (March 2020 - March 2021). I don't have the doc in front of me, but they ranked all deaths by # of comorbidities from 0 up to 10+

According to them, just under 1% of infections were due to the virus alone with no co-morbidities. o_O

Also, seems to me if you have 10+ co-morbidities, you've got one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel

Serious question -- regardless of your stance on the vaccines or the mandates ....

At the beginning, Pfizer was touting a 95% effectiveness rate. I couldn't remember what that meant specifically. I'm going back now, looking at old news clips, and here is one in particular from CNN back in November of 2020:

A final analysis of the Phase 3 trial of Pfizer's coronavirus vaccine shows it was 95% effective in preventing infections, even in older adults, and caused no serious safety concerns, the company said Wednesday.

That was my understanding at the time: prevent infections.

Now we've devolved into: you can still catch the virus, but the infection won't be as bad.

Even if it DID prevent infections in 95% of people, if you were able to mandate vaccination and truly vaccinate 100% of the population, and it was truly 95% effective like they claim, wouldn't 5% still get infected?

You guyssssss… you’re not supporting your gubberment. You must parrot the narrative don’t ya know.

I guess the definition of vaccine has changed.

My mom had polio, as did my grandfather. Both of them recovered but walked with a permanent limp afterwards. Everyone took the polio vaccine because they didn't want to catch it, obviously. My mom now has a condition called post-polio, which is another topic altogether .....

But imagine if they sold the polio vaccine as: well you can still catch it, and you can still spread it to others, but look on the bright side: you might only be crippled in one leg instead of two

Sshhhhh they do not want you to remember the past.

Quite a few folks will be along shortly to shoot down your polio comparison...but I agree 100% with you!

UK has been publishing this brrakdown for quite a while.

Hadn't changed the reality of the situation.

I was through it yesterday; it was three days of feeling pretty rough; pretty much all body aches and pains. Minor sniffles also lingering but nothing really respiratory. Never lost taste or smell. I went to see if my boat was still floating yesterday afternoon and pull down the Xmas decorations. All good. Glad to hear you are well also.
Good to hear.

Ya, it seems like a 3-5 day thing now, at least if you're vaccinated.

I have several data points for unvaccinated cases and it seems like it drags out for a couple weeks or more.
