Nice benefit

Nice. We have the marinas work boat that they leave the keys in but we are also in between locks on the Ohio so we typically only have about a 15 mile pool we stay in. But we did have to have a guy bring the work boat out to tow us in once when we had fuel issues but luckily we made it to about 100 yards of our slip...lol

Nice benefit and I hope you never get to use it!
When I had the overheating problem the mechanic told me the coupler was not looking good. Said I might get a year or 5. Was thinking of fixing in spring. But now with free towing what the heck, will wait, get a free tow, then fix, could be 5 years.
Hey, I could be dead in 5, why push it.

Wow. Congrats! And I was happy my annual fee didn’t rise even though our floating docks are sinking into the Harbor!

Only brought it up cause with all the negative things I read I thought it was nice and unusual that a marina would offer something like that. Something to be said for the family owned marinas that are becoming rare these days.
Agree fully! It's just that the paranoid/pessimist in me won't let me ignore a questionable piece of hardware in the hopes that the marina will come rescue me when the part fails.

LOL… the cool thing is couplers always go at the most convenient times. Not like explosions or sinkings….they suck

After spending June thru September last year with boat down, hesitant to rip into an engine pull this summer. Guy fixed it last summer said it might be starting based on looking at the splines on the shaft from the outdrive goes into transom. Will see.

Come March I will go over talk to the man, figure out a good time so we can pull on Monday and done on Thursday.
You right Blue, just fix the dam boat.
Never done “the tow of shame” as we call it on the river. I don’t want to be that guy.

I had a coupler go on my Chaparral after getting to our destination. Ran fine on the way out but motor just spun when I put it in reverse to back into a slip. Luckily had twins and was able to get home on the good drive. Turned out I picked up a line that wrapped around the props (BIII) 2 weeks before. Cut the line and ran fine for 2 weeks until it didn’t! Fix it in March if you can.

I detonated an Alpha I in my first boat. I was in my 20's, boat full of fun people, making great decisions all around, decided to head out for some midnight water skiing on the river. Man I miss that Liberator sometimes...

Shrapnel from the explosion tore a hole in the bellows. This created quite a bit of excitement due to my bilge pump being pretty marginal.

Sooooo...make sure those bilge pumps are up to snuff! Hate to sink the boat due to deferred maintenance :)
