Still no boat, and the process started back in October

Beautiful day here in Virginia, hope you're having beautiful skies, calm seas in a ton of fun and memories with your family. She will be all yours for Mother's Day next weekend.

I’m having great memories here in my kitchen counting down the hours till I head to the marina! Been a long process as you all know.

He’s well on his way despite a late start. Shooting for Cape May around 5pm, fuel up and then should be at my marina by 8pm or so.

1950 rpm is burning 25gal/hr!!! Those props are getting pulled first thing and will have at least 1.5” of pitch taken out.

what’s recommended burn?

Congrats. Definitely get that fuel burn under control but once you do that those engines will treat you well. Enjoy the new boat.

congrats! feel free to steal 'Hard to Get' (our name) - your purchase sounds a lot like ours went. All worth it in the end though!

Congrats - Nicely done! IIRC from the prior posts, this trip was from Lindenhurst to Middle River with a fuel stop at Cape May? Thinking of heading up that way from Baltimore this summer. How many total hours was the run?

Captain left Lindenhurst at 10am, got to Cape May at 5pm, fueled up and made it to the C&D Canal at 8pm. Had smooth seas till about Ocean City then had to slow down a bit and then was able to cruise smoothy from Cape May up the Delaware Bay.

I grew up boating in salt water my entire life but the past 13 years or so have been in the fresh water of the Upper Chesapeake Bay. I forgot what a boat covered in salt water feels like. It was midnight and I just couldn't bring myself to the leave the boat without at least hosing it down.

Congratulations of FINALLY getting your new baby, having your first cruises on her and now enjoying the never-ending smile that comes from owning a boat.

Another 7hrs today of decluttering and getting ready to clean the boat. Was prepared to shop vac the last remaining bit of water from the bilge but the AC outlets don't have power. Tomorrow I'll search for all of the GFI breakers and see what's up.

Rained a good portion of the day but with the canvas back and the air conditioners in the cockpit the weather didn't stop us from hanging out all day and trying to remove everything from the boat. Nothing like starting with a clean slate.

Getting the spare props from the cabin bilge area to the cart to my car to home was not fun!

@SeaNile that is a beautiful boat! Well worth the experience you had to get her in your slip!

Great news!! Look great.
I just got mine home a few hours ago.

Congrats to you John, yours was a long P.I.A road from your 450DA.

We get emotionally invested in these boats, then comes the survey results (like that 450 I had under contract in NY) and we swallow hard, or even feel that gut punch.

Now comes the part where you get to MAKE HER YOURS which is fun, and hopefully not too many unexpected surprises.

BEST !
