Anyone have any dealings with the above good or bad, they have a couple of boats listed I might be interested in but the one broker who has them listed will make appointments with me for a video walk thru and then not do it and not call to cancel and not return my calls when I call to find out whats happened. Just interested if they're up and up or a fly by night group!

Knot 10 is well known in the Annapolis / Kent Island area. We came very close to buying a boat from Kyle Benvenuto at Knot 10. We really liked him, total pro.

I'd contact another broker there and see if he's any more interested in making a sale.

I contacted them and asked if I could deal with another broker and was told that I could only deal with the broker of record, even explained to the person on phone why I wanted to deal with someone else as the broker of record would make appointments and not keep them with no phone calls and no replies to left voicemails. If I was owner of the boat I think I would be a little pissed if I found out the broker I'm paying is not trying to sell my boat.

My number one brokers to work with, have nothing but good things to say about them. Jay Porterfield in Kent Island is awesome.

+1 to Jay, my current boat was listed with Knot10 on Kent Island, and Jay was the sellers broker. He coordinated everything with my buyers broker here in Seattle and I really appreciated him getting everything set up and coordinated with my surveyor and my travel plans to get back there to do they survey/sea trial. He also did a great job working with the trucker when it came time to move the boat cross country.

Well that sure is a small world. I met Jay a few years ago. Thoroughly enjoyed working with him, and we stay in touch now. My boat is slipped next to his office right now.

I wanted him to co-broker the boat I just bought, but the selling broker wouldn't allow it, Jay continued to help me out though.

Knot 10 was the listing broker for my boat. I listed it in Atlantic City and it was purchased by a buyer in Florida. Knot 10 handled everything. After closing, the money was wired into my account. Easy as could be. Sounds like they have a lazy sales person on board unfortunately. As the seller, it was nice to save the 3% off the normal 10% commission!

I would talk with the owner and explain that you like the boat but don't feel comfy with the broker of record. Tell him he either assigns it to another broker, does the deal himself, or you walk. That isn't the only boat on the market that is that particular make/model.

I asked for the owner info but was told I had to deal with broker so that was another dead end. Feel bad for owner but I'll look else where but still feel bad for owner.

See if you can find out who the owner of the boat is, contact him and find out when his sales agreement listing with Knot 10 expires, then buy the boat from him.

Or look elsewhere,

We bought our 340from them 6 years ago, great experience. They just sold my BIL boat, 06 320. Listed for 3 days and gone.
