Hi all,
After almost two years looking, I have not been able to locate a replacement systems monitor for my boat. The only issue I can't independently monitor without the systems monitor is the bilge high water warning. Has anyone installed an aftermarket bilge high water monitoring system that they would recommend? I'm very nervous without this security feature on the boat. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have installed the Simplisafe alarm system with water alarms, CO, smoke, temp, motion and door switches, it's cellular based, smart phone, iPad and desktops...

Sold the 10 Meter and threw in the boat lift, less the pilings.

The 10 Meter is gone and so are the lift mechanicals

Time for a new lift (if I can afford it)

I know what the published DRY WEIGHT of our 45' Sundancers is, what I'm looking for is . . . . . well. . . . .REALITY . . .

what is the real weight y'all have been seeing on the scales/travellifts ?

I ordered the Groco 6 port fuel valve Saverio suggested from BoatID. It was also the best price I could find and it will work on our boats, but not an exact replacement. The mounting holes are different but can be fitted with a little imagination. Another thing, my tach's dont work right half the time and even though I was lucky enough to find a FloScan system already installed on my boat would like to replace the original tachs. Any thoughts on what to replace them with? I think FP Marine may have stock replacements but need to confirm. Still waiting for Ritchie Nav to tell me if they can refurb my compass. May just replace with a new one.

Suggest you contact joe.dydasco@floscan.com

He may be able to help you complete your system with a couple of FLOSCAN tachometers

These will display your fuel burn in real time and show how many gallons emain in your tanks.

If the FLOSCAN system in your vessel is intact, this would complete the mission and IMHO well worth it.

You may find 100 RPM difference at cruise, or a bit of tab applied can have a dramatic effect on fuel burn rate.

You will find the fuel burn is very consistant on the 3116 & 3126 Caterpillar engines. Most owners do not find any real added value with Flow Scans. Every day your boat is going to burn 26GPH at 2400 rpm cruise speed if the props are correct and the engine loads are proper.

So here is an alternative: Most of us who have grown weary of the flakeyTeleflex tachs on Sea Ray diesel boats have changed to Aetna Electronic Tachs:

https://www.aetnaengineering.com/model-8905r-lcd-tachometer/

They also offer a black plastic trim ring that almost matches the 1995-96 450DA gauges. It is shown under Tach accessories.

The Aetna tachs are about the same cost as a replacement Sea Ray tach from Sea Ray; however, the Sea Ray replacement is not available with a black bezel. And they will get flakey in about 2 years or 200 hours. Best of all, the Atena tach is a direct "plug and play" to the Sea Ray wiring harness…..the existing Cat sender is a magnetic tooth counter and works seamlessly with Aetna's….no splicing wires, just attach. t he SR ring terminals to the post on the Aetna's. The Aetnas are internally lit, so you have one Sea Rayn instrument wire that isn't used. My Aetnas worked flawlessly for 15 years and they are still on the boat today.

I have the Aetna on mine ill take a photo next time I'm there.
Dumb question but I can't figure out the salon A/C no matter what button I hit I can't get it out of heat mode. the controller says AIR on it. the lowest I can get the temp to is 65 and the red light is on. I can't get the blue snowflake to go on. how do you switch modes?

I'm interested in seeing the Aetna tach's installed. The images on their website make them look much smaller than my originals? I found a Dometic AC manual to help me set different modes, specifically Humidity Control while I'm away. It's too large a file to attach here, but here is a link to the one I downloaded: https://manualzz.com/doc/52182358/dometic-passport-i-o-digital-control-digital-control-oper...

I timed thew installation of my Aetna Tachs with the replacement of my dash panels so I had t he new peels made to accept the Aetnas with their trim ring.

Ahhh, They look good! My timing was not so good as I already bought new dash panels to fit the originals. My FloScans do show the correct RPM's all of the time, but with my OCD, I want everything to work as it should including the original tach's that are intermittently correct.

Here a pic of my tachs

Can anyone point out the grease fittings on the TNT lift? I can't seem to find them and can't find any documentation pertaining to lubing the thing. How and with what do you lube the slides and rollers?
Thanks

Anyone know the actual size for the hex nuts on the rudders for our boats? Have a slight packing leak and look to pick up a crows foot type wrench to get a decent bite.

Ended up modifying a pipe wrench. Cut the wrench short and Welded a 1/2 drive socket to wrench. Should be able to use an extension and a breaker bar now to achieve the needed force to get some turns on packing but amd the jam nut

Hello. Has anyone removed the vent cover? I incurred some travel lift damage and thinking it may be easier to take it off rather than fix in place. Thanks!
