Lake Saint Clair Peeps

I see on Facebook some people are bumping bottom at cabana blue coming in between the buoys out front… who knows where they were or what they are doing but something to be aware of…. It might be a problem over 3’ draft

Interetsing. I remember being concerned about the channel being dredged only 5 1/2 feet but was told not to worry about it and it was no problem. Water levels are back to somewhat normal so it's even sketchy at places around where we boat regularly, 2 years ago & last year no problems, but now that the lake levels aren't ridiculously high....

I’ve been there three times on two different boats and we’ve used both channels. Water depth was not an issue in the channels. The only time we churned up a bit was coming off plane entering the channel. Similar to when heading into a bay. What they’re talking about is in-between the two channels closer to land. There’s an old seawall that you can’t see that’s submerged. There was a 510 there the last time we went.

Talking about bumming rides, I'd sure like to become friends with the owner of this MTI that was sitting behind Sommers this weekend. I'd like to take a 100+ mph ride.

Fixing to head to the boat to make sure all electrics are working. Power was knocked out around the marina with yesterday's storm and came back on last night.
Crappy weather today. 51° misting, and just plain crummy outside.

It’s why I have been working all weekend….. this weather needs to end already

How is algonac working out so far ?
So far so good. We are enjoying the marina. Have been up to the bar a couple of times and we like using the hot tub in the evening. That was nice last Saturday with the cooler weather and wind.
Only been out a few times for a boat ride, but got some trips coming up soon.
But man, there sure are some nice boats there and I find myself looking at Boat Trader & Yatchworld a lot more than I use to :)

Are you near that 60’(ish) Viking? Absolutely beautiful vessel.

I was on a rendezvous this weekend with a club and they are doing another rendezvous up to NCYC. I couldn’t go I am there the next week… but they are coming into algonac for the weekend and they chartered Pete’s Chris Craft for an afternoon drink and appetizer cruise. I didn’t know he did that. So a heads up if you didn’t know

Beauregard’s boat in the boat house the owner of algonac
Last year we went to the Algonac tiki bar and the boat I'm talking about is pointing west. It's on the left side as you pull into the marina. He was in PIB last year and he let us walk the engine room. Unbelievable boat. I believe he owns a pretty good size injection mold company or something similar. He also could be the owner of Algonac.

Yea, I am familiar with Pete's beautiful / restored Chris.

The Viking that Rich is talking about, I've seen the boat and it is AWESOME. He is docked right next to a 56 Neptunus named Diamond Girl. Boat boats are really, really nice.
