Hey everyone, Spouse and I just bought a 2006 Sundeck 220 with 5.7 Mag and Alpha drive. 530 hours. First Sea-Ray for us. This will be the 5th boat I have owned and just got rid of the 1990 Regal Valanti. We mostly use our boat on Lake Minnetonka (Minnesota). Now that I have a good boat, we will probably dump it in the St. Croix River once in a while too. So far I have cleaned it up nice, changed all fluids, added a 2nd battery w/ switch, and test fired the motor. It's going in the lake next week for a maiden voyage. Here is my first question: The owners manual lists the engine options that were available and the 5.7L was not listed. What say you guys?

Nice boat. What going on with the infamous Lake Minne yacht that was stuck on the ramp that we been following all winter?
Some folks here are good with past documentation. I find it odd that a 5.7 not listed. It’s a basic engine option on nearly everything.

Hahaha yes the saga of the Seanote. I passed that boat 2x/day most of the winter as it sat there at the public launch waiting to be moved. It has been successfully moved to a storage location 3 blocks away. I have to say I was doubtful that the sketch trailer would make it, but it did.

As far as my boat goes, I also found it odd that 5.7L wasn't listed and am thinking that it is a misprint in owners manual or that it was a change that didn't make it into the manual.

Great engine and drive but kinda go easy on the drive. That is at the upper hp limit for the alpha drive. Just be smooth with the throttle and you'll be fine. I have the same engine in my Crowline project boat but have the bravo 3 drive good for little over 500hp.
