Keep Track of Rising Prices

My Speedo Jammer Endurance swimsuits were $21 each two years ago. Bought them three at a time and cycled them out every 3-4 months. Now they are $43 each. Been 7 months now in one suit because of that. Going for 9 months. Failure mode is the rear seam splits and everyone gets to see your ass as you leave the pool.

Before they split, sell them as gently used for more than you paid. What’s that site? Poshmark?

Some marina friends are bringing their boat back up from Florida. They left Charleston this morning and made it to Myrtle Beach. This is the picture they sent me from Osprey Marina.

Hello from California the land of wacky government and high prices. Diesel in our marina is actually the same price, $5.85 a gallon, but our slip fees are double what you pay. Our 50’ slip is $1,026 a month and that’s cheap around here. Newport gets 5k a month for the same 50’ spot. Location, location, location. o_O

I took a 5 mile trip out of the way on Friday to buy fuel in LA harbor’s commercial fuel dock, Jankovich’s. I paid $4.80 a gallon for diesel. In two years, we are up over $2 a gallon for red fuel here in lala land.

Expensive hobby!!

We pay for slips but the stated price is per foot for the season which is 6 months which for me works out to about a buck per month. They charge for the full length so the 24 footers in the 35 foot slips take it on the chin.

we do too. But we put a 40’ in a 35’ slip, so... Shhhh! Don’t tell.

well I may need your help there if I decide to go bigger. I don't want to lose my current slip!

Despite what the ladies say, it's all about width, not length. As long as you fit into the slip, all is good!

I find marina fuel prices to be higher than Street prices. It’s interesting because the marina prices are supposed to be on tax. I may do what you guys are doing but I’m curious: How do you guys get your 400DB’s to the gas station?

Very carefully.....

I got this text from a buddy of mine on Friday,

CEO's of Pilot and Loves just issued warning of possible $10 diesel in about 2 weeks! Possible rationing starting on east coast from North Carolina to New York. Stock up and be prepared!
