I have a 340 sundancer how do you change the hose from the toilet to the holding tank? Looks like there is no access
Please HELP!!!!!!

Not to be a jerk… but this is one of those “if you have to ask you might not want to do it” questions. In theory its easy… remove the clamps, remove the hose, install new hose, tighten with new stainless clamps. The hard part is removing the old hose and running the new one. If the old one is not accessible and is clamped to the hull In areas you cannot reach it is going to be a difficult job. You definitely want to get the old one out. You might be able to attach the new hose to the old one and use that to snake the new hose. But each boat is different maybe someone has particular experience with your model.

I did this on my 2001 Regal 3780. It was not fun. The connection at the head is simple, and pulling the new one thru from the head was simple. Getting it thru the firewall into the engine compartment, where the pump was, and back into the cabin (holding tank was in the cabin) was a different story. I don't think I would do this one on my own again.

Just curious why would someone want to do this? I can understand if there was a hole in it or something but why else?

I was chasing down an odor problem, thought a new hose would help. It was a bank repo boat that had been sitting. I think the ultimate issue was the tank was in the cabin.

I just attempted this on my 2002 310 . its virtually impossible on my boat without removing the port motor and fuel tank.
I gave up.

over time the smell will permeate the hose and cause odors in the cabin.
Especially since Sea Ray used the cheap black sanitation hose when they built most of these boats.

I think I read on here a while ago about a known issue of some bad batches of hose.
Agreed. I believe the story was that sea ray bought a ton of the sanitation hose and left it out in the Florida sun leading to premature failure.
