There are quite a few boats still on the hard at Belle Maer. I was out there yesterday and I'd guess 40 or 50 still up on timbers.
I would have liked to see this come into the marina. The gates and driveway is pretty tight.

b-arrington, your boat is beautiful in the water. Just so classic.
That’s the yard guy. It’s a 19’ Boston Whaler work boat with a 15 hp engine.
Most of the boats are on moorings; they tow the boats out and hook them to the moorings vs drive them there. In my case I’m in a slip and they backed it right in. Really impressive moving a 22,000 lb boat.

Not a lot of interest in getting boats in this year, had to make a hole to get us out. Usually we are the last or second last to leave the building. We went in earlier this week, about the same time as usual for us.
The yard manager where I store said he’s never had so many boats still on the hard at this point in May. Many of them still in shrink wrap. Maybe fuel prices, definitely the weather.
We had a nice day to splash but it’s been windy since.
supposed to be a decent holiday weekend here after the rain ends in the morning.
No big planned cruises this summer. Glad we cruised Lake Superior last summer. Fuel would probably be 5k more this year. Lucked out on that one. Probably make a run to the western end of the Lake at least, just wouldn’t be summer if we didn’t do that.
Let the summer begin.

Lots of boats on land still at my marina. We already crossed the Bay last weekend, will do twice this weekend.
More concerned about the wife’s bar tab than the gas bill.

Called the shop today. They haven't started on our boat yet. Doing cone clutch replacement. I have a bunch of home projects going on so no biggie for me. But he said it should be done by the end of next week.
We stopped down the marina today. C dock is about full. B dock about 1/2 full and hardly any boats on A dock. Probably see some go in tomorrow but oh well. My mother invited us out on theirs Monday if we want to go out. They have a 24' cabin cruiser but can't remember the brand. They had a pontoon for 3 years and just bought this one right at the end of last season.
