Good Morning all

We had a 1" or so of standing water in the aft stateroom floor that we noticed at time of blocking in my yard. No obvious leak from tank or water lines (system holds pressure). Has anyone experienced any similar water intrusion. Please comment as I am at a loss.

UPDATED information - The water also seems to be leaching into the table leg holder in that area

Crack in water tank. Those tanks are "L" shaped and if overfilled the tank top bulges outward then the inside corner of the L shape cracks and leaks. There is no way to repair it as nothing sticks to the material the tank is made of. Some have attempted to "weld" the tank back together without success. I ended up replacing the tank on my 400DA; the OEM manufacturer is here in Fl and still have the drawings. I think it was around $1200 and I drove over to pick it up but that was 12 or so years ago.
The bottom line is never fill those tanks past 90% full.

Here you go - on the tank

I had thought that I cracked my tank when I found the floor wet in the rear stateroom. It turns out, the A/C condensate line was plugged up in the main salon and the water was running down the mid ship stringer soaking the floor there.

With that said, this was on a super hot day with tons of people going in and out of the cabin so it was producing a ton of condensate.

450 DA here - 1996

Had a boat under contract and one of her numerous defects was a cracked water tank - also located under that floor. I passed on her.

I've been keeping my tank full - I usually fill it to overflow with an RV filter on the end of my garden hose

was doing some cleaning in the mid cabin bilge, had my hand on the back of that tank and it felt like a "bulge"

Do I need to be more careful about filling that tank?

Maybe I'll go and drain some water out NOW !

BEST !

never heard this reported before.

Should I be worried?

Thank you! We checked out the salon AC drain and it too was plugged up and the units pan was full and overflowing. Cleared line and condensate is flowing to shower box freely now. Let's hope that was it... Thanks again

Does anyone know whats under to floor in the aft stateroom on the 1999 Sundancer 400? It appears just to be foam. I'm thinking of removing it after my water intrusion to ensure everything is dry. I don't want to get myself in trouble... Thoughts

I'd probably leave the foam. I assume it's their to prevent that area from filling with water...
