58 Sedan Bridge Official Thread

Congrats. I assume this was the 2013 listed in CT? If so was it one owner or was the recent owner only 2 years? Looks very similar to the one we tried to get out of NJ two years ago.
I think he bought the boat around 2019 ish. He has done a ton of work to it. All new electronics was one project he did in the spring and never used.

Laundry closet on our boat because it it next to the washer and drier. :) we store cleaners, sheets, polish, TP, etc.

Ah. Our washer/dryer doesn't work... or I haven't figured out how to work it... and wifey says the tub is rusty and wouldn't use it anyway... until I can get that sorted out. Lower priority. Guest sheets have gone to drawers/cabinets in their respective staterooms and ours are under our lift-up mattress. (Room for a Subaru under there, I think.) TP stores in each head.

Easy for us to use the guest rooms for related storage like that since we seldom have guests aboard, and they would usually be short-term visits anyway.

And that means there's more room for food, hence focus on the "pantry." :)

We use the closet next to the “wrinkler” as a pantry. Bottom two shelves are cleaning products, upper three shelves are canned goods.

FWIW, we dispersed most of our general purpose cleaning stuff to the under cabinets in the heads, although I also keep some on the bridge for enclosure panels.

Can anyone provide the procedure to change the MAN MMDS displays from metric to standard. Thanks

I don't know that, but I've read (somewhere) that when the MMDS boards (or the displays?) are failing one of the symptoms is that they revert to metric. Another is that the engine hours might go haywire. Dunno if that means both of those symptoms (and/or others) will necessarily appear at the same time or not...

You just need new batteries.

But temporarily, you can change to standard via the menu. Hold for about 3 to 5 seconds.

there is a place in pompano beach that changes the batteries for about $350 each.

I saw the procedure somewhere in the past either on here or boat diesel but can’t remember it or find it.

The battery in the display causes the display to revert to metric.

The battery on the MMDS board causes the hours to go haywire.

As Ken said, hold the reset button for about 5 seconds, then use the arrow keys to highlight °C/°F, then select °F, and turn the displaypower switch OFF, then back ON....

Since you have to do this each timeyou power up, susan wisely suggested to me to change the STBD display tometric and use them both in metric!!!

Carter,

send them to sea-tronics they have a quick turn around.

I can’t understand metric. When ours failed, I had my phone out to constantly convert.

LOL! I like Susan's suggestion - set the good one to metric and if they are the same on both sides, everything is OK!!!

As a pilot, I'm constantly converting °C to °F since all the weather is now in ICAO (read French) "language". Add 1 bar = 14.5 psi and you are good to go!!!

Anyone know what the two zerk fitting are for on the swim platform hardware? After I sprung that leak on the pressure gauge, I have a squeal on the port side when raising the lift. I was curious if they were for grease.

From the GHS Owners manual
https://www.ghslift.com/user/files/manual-2013.pdf
page 9

GREASE FITTINGS There are 2 grease fittings positioned on the top of the lift cylinders. (see page 38) These fittings should be greased once a year with a good moly based grease.
