Has anyone been through Jones Inlet this year? I was told it is shoaled up bad and dangerous at low tide.

Kevin I winter stored in Freeport and went out of Jones last month. At high tide I did NOT see anything less than 8 feet (from the transducer). The cans are out and now mostly on the south side... at one point almost at the end of the west jetty, you need to make a hard turn to the west b/f making another turn to the east. The can to the west is way off in the distance, I would say at least 1/4 of a mile away, so be heads up.... Also there's shoaling now in an area that actually had water last year. Keep an eye to the west so you can pick up that next can.Does anyone have an update on this?

Happy to hear that!Jones Inlet is finally being dredged. Be careful if you transit the inlet as the dredge boat was in the middle of the channel yesterday.
