First, thanks for doing this Chelepop, you obviously love what you do, and that's great!!!!

My question revolve around a somewhat less (let's say) interesting topic: Holding Tank

After almost 20 years, the original holding tank in my Sundancer is needing replacement. I've been canvasing the web for weeks now with little success. The current configuration has the following dimensions: 21" L x 18" W x 15" H.

The part manual just mentions a Sea Ray part number 116509 18 Gal Holding Tank. What is particular about this tank is the location of both the intake and discharge 2" fitting, they are offset from vertical centerline of the tank to the left side of the tank (toward the centerline of the vessel). And this is because the tank is jamed between the hot water tank (back) and the port side fuel tank.

All the tanks I've found to date (ex: Moeller WT2001-90) have the fitting at the wrong place.

Any help in locating the original manufacter and replacement part would be greatly appreciated...

Well Richard, since I'm not a bilge person I dont think my expertise is going to be helpful. I hope someone else on the list will be able to help you out in this area.

If your current tank is leaking, you can have it fixed or "welded" back together. If you are bent on a replacement tank there is a place, I think it's Ronco Plastics that can manufacture one for you. They can add the intake, discharge and vents where you specify them.

Thanks for the lead.... I contacted the people at Ronco and was able to get something customized to my specification at a reasonable price. They are also very friendly (I spoke to a person named Linda)...

Thanks again....

Richard
