Meridian?

I lived in Michigan... the "saltwater" is on the roads... not in the lake. The reason I had 3 Chevettes is because after two years, you could see the road through the rusted out floorboards. Your boats may stay nice... but I've never heard of a "northern" car commanding a high value on the market because the environment SUCKS!

Geez... I really hated living up there... but I do have to get back to show that ***** girlfriend who dumped me my boat.

The 441 Hull was designed to accept the Zeus system but Zeus wasn't quite ready at the time. I believe it is now a factory option.

If you worry about salt damage to a car, you are keeping them way too long and therefore, not having enough fun. Even the modern day equivalent of a Chevette goes 10 years today without rust problems. Who in their right mind keeps a car that long today unless it's a classic of some sort or they have economic issues? You might look good driving a high performance, black TT with the top down.

There's a 341 right opposite me on my dock. It's a beautiful boat and it makes the 370DA next to it look small. Lot's of room if that's what you need.

We sometimes boat with a couple with a 391. Nice boat and no issues in two years of their ownership. I really like the way their fly bridge is laid out.

OK Gary,

We'll be stopping in East Tawas this summer. If you can tell me what she looks like, I'll show her a picture of a 480DB for you.

So, anyone that owns a ten year old vehicle is retarded or can't afford to buy something newer?

Wow.

I had no idea that you could tell so much about a person from the car they drive.

Many moons ago after graduating college I went to work as a PM for a large contractor/developer in Baltimore. One of the partners (company still exists) is a big name...nationally known and recognized, second generation. When I met him, he was driving a God only knows how old Datsun pickup that looked like it came out of a junkyard. He had the ability to whip out his checkbook and write a check for a hundred new ones- if he wanted.

Be careful how you judge people.

You are right. Strike the "right mind" comment. I did not mean to offend. It's just many people trade cars every 3-4 years or more often. If Gary does not want the TT would you like to buy it?

Some might say that sort of overindulgence has gotten Americans in an awful lot of trouble of late.

It has gotten some Americans in trouble. People who buy houses, cars, boats, you name it, and who can afford to pay for them provide jobs and raise the standard of living for working Americans.

Only just last August I traded in my 1999 SUV to buy a new 2010 vehicle. Obama gave me extra $$$ in the cash for clunkers deal so I couldn't pass up the oppurtunity. Otherwise, I'd still have my 11 year old vehicle....it still ran great. I intend to keep this new one at least another 10 years.

Re: Meridian 441 v drive?

In regards to this blog, I did go to the Boattest site and viewed a video review of an 09 meridian 441 and they mentioned it had v drives ; I have a 36 searay sedan bridge and I have straight drive ( no v drive) cummins QSB's. Why would they have v drives in a sedan bridge boat?

Royal,

We just sea trialed a new 2009 Searay 47DB at MM...Cummins V-Drives...

You and me Dom. Sue and I are going to drive our four year old Denali and Tahoe for at least another 6 years...until all the fuel/battery/economy issues sort themselves out...

Not planning on a "clown car" yet, though...despite what our president and Gore want us to drive.

This is a doozy. I'm impressed each time you mention the TT with the top down.

I never owned one, but I heard nothing rusted better (and faster) than a Chevy Vega...
