383 Stroker w/ Alpha SS Drive
Hey ALL...here is My New Toy! Running a 383 Stroker Motor with Alpha SS outdrive. Been scrubbing all the dirt off it from sitting in a farmers barn. ...and I'm STILL looking for an original type steering cable. Ride Guide 15ft 6in. I have the Teleflex replacement system but it's no where near as strong up at the rack. I welcome ANY Pachanga conversation....I just got the boat a few months ago and working on restoring it!

HOPE the Pics come threw!

Hey Ten Years...THANKS...Well...got the Teleflex system in...(holding onto my original rack and pinion system just in case a Holy Grail 15-16ft cable materializes from the abyss...LOL And I will post more FUN pics when it's wet! Trying to keep the baby as original as I can... but have a N a Need to Play as well! I'm ANXIOUS as a kid heading to the candy store to get it out! Read a Forum Post somewhere a while back and the guy claimed to have my identical boat with the Alpha SS drive (which is 2.75 in shorter in the top have as a Stock Alpha Gen1)...Mine is a 1:32 ratio and is Counter Rotating. Should be interesting... I hope it gets the nose up high enough...SHOULD have the torque! Couldn't really test all this out on the Water Test when I bought it... The twiddle-stick had the motor running with no water hooked when I walked up...so the impeller was toast! And he was caught out in 6 footers with this 22ft boat... I HOPING there isn't more harm I haven't found yet...no matter...may go through motor anyway to find out EXACTLY what I have to maybe eliminate future blind guessing...
Happy Boating ALL!...I'll keep ya posted!

I'm not sure about the Alpha SS but I would be a bit cautious with that horsepower and an Alpha. Standard Alphas were only good for about 300HP. I have a 383 Stroker in the Cobalt that I am restoring and the machine shop that did my head work told me it's hard to get less than 325HP out of a Stroker.

Besides that the boat looks great....Enjoy.

Well I have the Pachanga on the water and she is a FINE boat! Rides GREAT! As a few of you mentioned...I think I am going to look into a Bravo drive. Here is one on the water and a motor pic. Motor doesn't look great...Next time through it will have color on it! ....Apparently my pics exceed quota...ugh

If you support the site, you can post as many pictures as you like! There is a tab at the top of the page that says "support the site"

I love the the Pachanga, I was eyeing one up when we found the Sundeck. Admiral couldn't understand why we needed a 60+mph boat. I was a little concerned with fuel consumption. I love the looks of them.
Have fun here, and there.

Oh I see how it works with the sponsorship now SF...getting my feet wet...lol...punny hey! :smt038... 'gotoguy'...yep with a Fam the Deck is more practical...my Changa really is the best comfy with two! Mine was a 'barn find'...kinda. LOL was in a barn and filthy, but interior and motor done in 2013. Great conversation piece! And for the water I run (just inland lakes) ...LUV IT!
