A comprehensive product walkthrough with Ron Berman, the Sport Yacht and Yachts program manager.

Love the inside but I have to admit I like the older styling better, the bow looks stubby on the new DA's to me. Not saying I'd turn one down though!

I do not understand the trends toward more and more windows in the hull, and sliding glass doors between the outdoor and indoor spaces. I can get over the clunky new hull lines, the microwave at knee level, and the weird patio section between the helm and wind screen. But I can not believe a hull with that much window would survive much weather without sprouting a plethora of annoying leaks. Although I am careful with weather and routing I still get caught in less than ideal conditions now and again. Once I managed to launch our 380DA into low orbit off a 10-12 foot wave while attempting to go too fast in deteriorating conditions. Looking sideways, from the helm seat, the water was suddenly 8-feet farther away. The resulting impact (when the mass of the hull rejoined the oceans surface) was impressive. The coffee pot leapt out of its built in cabinet, and doused the galley area. Everything that was not fastened down went on the floor of the cabin. But the bones of the boat took no damage and all that was required from me was to slow the heck down. I love the new outdoor kitchen! I love the new bimbo pad design, and the efficiency/economy of the new engines and hull shape. But these big hull windows are a fad, like 8-Track Tapes. Whatever the cool features, these are still ships, and still must contend with transporting crew and goods in an ever changing environment that can be hostile and is difficult to predict.

I was recently at the factory and there is less window than you may think behind some of those smoke panels. There is clear glass, but there are also vents and even solid hull. My wife calls them big cosmetic sunglasses giving a streamlined look to a multipurpose area.

I do not like the "guppy" look of this boat. With the microwave galley at the back of the boat, I would need to buy some pajamas for sure.

no disrespect intended but that's no 'Dancer......looks like a tub....JMO of course...id never be able to afford it so it really doesn't matter.

Nice boat but can't say I'm a fan personally - around that size I would much prefer a Riveria 4400 or 4700 sports yacht.

Looking at these boats, I think about the Porsche saying "form follows function".
Functionally they are perfect. Sexy they are not.
Just my 0.02

Thank you, Matt. Plans for this new 450 size and design to be introduced in a 450 Fly as a larger alternative to the new 400 Fly?

looks like a Winnebago with right hand drive.

I couldn't agree more. Beautiful inside, gawd awful exterior proportions. It shares the overall proportions of a floating Chevy Lumina minivan.

All I could think of while watching the video is how great that boat would fit with our current boating lifestyle. Great layout and quality throughout. I do agree that the exterior lines are not as attractive as the more typical sundancer with sweeping bow rail and descending bow lines. Would love to see a video of the ER and what access looks like down there.

I just can't see the Admiral and I having one of those. I just don't like it. I'm hoping the styles change in the next five years or so when we are ready to move up to a 45 ish or 50 ish boat.

That sounds great, Matt. Can you share any details, early pictures or drawings, or how long is "very near"?
