Getting the itch to get back on the water but this time smaller. Would like to stay in SR family and want a simple OB. Anyone here have this boat? Looking for more info. Would love to see pics of select package with the upgraded interior. Sadly the SR brochure for their SPX/Sundeck/SLX lineup is a complete waste of paper and I don't see any pictures of that package online. Specs would be great too. Thanks, Brian.

Unfortunately, those were two different photo shoots (sometimes we do that so we have more configurations to show).

Between these two galleries, you can get a fairly good idea of what the 19 SPX OB with Select Package looks like.

Hope that helps!

I bought a 2016 19 SPX OB the end of last august. I only put 10hrs on it last season as we have the 340DA and the season was coming to an end. I bought the non-select package with some options such as Stainless package, Captains package, Seadeck on the swim platform and in-dash Nav (Raymarine A65). I really like the look of the select package but for me I didn't want to pay the extra money for a second boat and I knew that the more vinyl and seating I have the more maintenance I would have.
So far the boat is exactly what I was looking for. I didn't want a lot of extra maintenance work to do. I wanted an outboard for ease of maintenance, fiberglass cockpit floor so I could hose it out at the end use and not worry about wet carpets and I didn't want to pay too much as it is a second boat for us that will get used during the week at ponds and lakes near our house to get the kids into watersports.
The 8.5' beam creates a much larger feeling cockpit. Also the walk through deck for access to the swim platform is a real plus so everyone isn't climbing over the vinyl on the sun pad. The storage under the sun pad where the I/O motor usually goes is enormous. The convertible companion seating is great and we found we liked it best set up as a bunch seat. The seating capacity of 11 was a real plus for us as we plan to use it as a watersports platform for my kids and exteneded friends and family. We had 10 people in the boat last fall and the 150 did just fine. I did end up going with a 4 blade stainless prop and when down a pitch and I think this will really help when fully loaded but honestly, it was propped just fine from the factory. I am just making adjustments to the way I am going to use it. The 150 mercury is quite, efficient and powerful enough for this boat. Overall great package and I am happy with my purchase.
I am looking forward to getting it on the water this spring. Let me know if you have any specific questions I can answer.

Yes that is what I was looking for. This is why I love SeaRay. Great customer service...but LOUSY brochure. Another question. Is that picture of the select interior the Saraha or Cognac? I thinks it's the latter but if you have the Sahara pictured I'd like to see that too. Now about your brochure. I spent the day Sat at our local boat show in Orange Beach AL. All the boat builders had really nice brochures, especially Cobalt. That one was amazing. The brochure I got from SR was simply sad. All the other company's actually showed pictures of the boats along with specs. The SeaRay one was mostly pictures of dogs, pretty ladies with sunglasses, some dudes looking at computers, some bad A$$ robots, another dude polishing a table bigger than the boats in the brochure, more CAD pictures, a few cigars and some delicious looking drinks in a SR glass. So....where's the boats??? Please change that soon to what they used to be including info on the boats. PLEASE, it's actually embarrassing. Anyway, I appeciate your response.

Thanks Jeremy. Did the boat get on plane fairly quickly? Did you install trim tabs? WOT? Probably just going to be 4-5 people max.

For 2016 there's a "brand book" with more generic info about why you might buy a Sea Ray (which sounds like what you saw), and companion "product books" for the SPX, Sundeck and SLX families. There's a even pocket in the back of the brand book where they're supposed to tuck the appropriate product book. Sounds like that didn't happen. All the pictures and specs you'd expect to find are in the product family brochures. It was broken up this year due to the late intro of the new SLX lineup. It will be consolidated again in the future.

I did see that pocket in the back and was wondering what it was for. That's what must have happened both a week ago at the Gulf Shores Dealer and again at the boat show. They should include the "product books" for that series until the new one comes out. (especially after saying that I'm a potential 4th time buyer) Thanks for the explanation. What other boating site would have that type of communication from corporate so fast? Good job! Brian

It planes quickly with just my wife and kids. Dragged a little with the 10 people on board but really impressive still for all that weight. I got the 4 blade and dropped a pitch to help with the hole shot with a full load. I haven't had anyone else with me since I got the new prop so I can't comment of the performance yet.
I plan on putting Bennett Bolt 12 x 9 tabs on this spring. We will be teaching the kids water sports so there will be many starts with lots of people on board so tabs should help too. Also, I miss having control of the roll of the boat without the tabs. That said you really don't need them with 4-5 people on board unless you want to control the roll.
The boat did about 45mph at WOT with the original prop, about 43 with the 4 blade. Plenty fast for me.

It is a little tight but that's the way we boat. Usually with friends and/or family on board with us. It was six adults and 4 kids. The 4 kids always want to be in the bow that leaves the cockpit for us adults. That is what is nice about the layout of the 19spx. Plenty of seating for everyone. You will have more than enough room for 4 people on boat and the boat will feel great with that many people on board.

Thanks Jeremy. I'm surprised that there are not more SPX outboard owners here on CSR. They seem like a nice boat. Brian

Here is a pick of my 29spx all sport rigged to fish. When the sun pad and front cushions are removed, it is a nice setup. Lots of space. I like it.

Looks good in fishing mode.

Thanks, in my original post it should have said 19spx. I just got it back from the shop today. Looking forward to putting in some hours on it.

my buddy has a 19 SPX (I/O) Select with the Sahara interior. It gets pretty dang hot compared to the off white/silver interior in my boat. His infinity woven flooring also get considerably warmer than my light grey carpet. The other thing I don't like is there isn't any storage along the gunwales because SeaRay has narrowed the overall width of the gunwales to get more interior space. I love those storage compartments along the side because they are a great place to keep small items (wallets, dry bags, first aid kit, etc).

Other than those minor nits, I think it's a great boat!

Hey Steve. We have the Cognac interior, which is even darker than Sahara, Infinity flooring, a black Bimini and SeaDek flooring. We should have burst into flames yesterday with that combo. ;) All joking aside we felt fine all day yesterday and it was pretty darn hot and humid. The wider 8'4" beam on this 19 footer makes it seem much larger. My wife compared the inside to our 220SD. Not a bad trade off for the side storage compartments. We have plenty of other areas to store those things. Verdicts still out on the flooring however. Seems more slippery than the regular carpets we've always had. We'll have to wait and see on that. Overall VERY happy with this boat. Brian

Bridog-
If your pic is the cognac interior, that's what he has, too. He has the same top, Seadek, etc. I wasn't saying any of the items I mentioned in my post were "problems", just pointing out differences between his 19 SPX and my 2008 195 Sport. Also, since you've got the OB, you've got more storage than his IO. I think the SPX series are really great boats!
