Hi, I'm looking for a replacement ice maker on the deck for my 1996 330 DA. Please shoot me a note if you have one for sale. Thanks.

just something to think about....unless you plan to keep your fresh water tank and the stored water in 'potable' drinking condition you may want to think about installing a frig in the cockpit instead of an ice maker.....many people have opted to go this route because they don't stay on their boat long enough nor make the effort to keep their water in 'potable' condition......they don't want to use ice that is made from questionable quality water and risk becoming ill.....you can find a frig that will fit in the same space as the ice maker since both an ice maker and frig were options....

I opted to replace my broken ice maker with a large slide out ice cooler....

So a fridge is one option, the cooler another. I bought my new Raritan Icer-Ette ice maker from West Marine. https://www.westmarine.com/buy/raritan--icer-ette-ice-makers--P002375947 After shopping around they matched the lowest price I found elsewhere....really. One last option.... When I had my '89 340da the ice maker mechanism stopped working but the freezer portion was fine. We just bought bags of ice and dumped them in the hopper. We also put frozen food in there as well.

Thanks guys... good point on the potable water issue and I'll have to check on the freezer portion, thanks. We wouldn't be on the boat for more than 1 night to start until/if my wife gets comfortable with it. Not a real high priority on my fix-it-list for this boat once it arrives.

The Raritan Icer-ette in my '94 370 EC makes ice, but has tiny black flakes in it from the freezer. Raritan says someone let pink anti-freeze get in the unit and it causes the lining of the ice cube unit to disintegrate. So, I decided to just use it as a freezer and put bagged ice, or ice from the ice maker at our yacht club in it. Suits me fine and I don't wonder if something is growing in the tank that would make me sick.

Do you want it for the "freezer" aspect or to make ice cubes? I have two I've pulled from boats, that freeze great, but the ice cube makers have been removed. Same model as found on a late 90's early 2000 340 DA.

You can always put a filter on the water line to the ice maker. I did that.

I went completely over the top on the filtration

The whole vehicle filter is installed just after the pump and the USF C covers the ice maker and a dedicated faucet.

I just pulled my perfect working icemaker out. 1998 330 Sundancer.
I dont have pictures but it looks fine. No damages. Nothing missing.
I used it all last year. No problems. I now use that spot for my BBQ.
Weighs a good 40 lbs in case you were wondering.
Its sitting in my garage waiting for a new home.

Thanks guys, I may start out and just try using for a freezer for now. The survey is being done today so I should have it next week.
