good evening ladies and gentleman. Reporting from the heart of Napa. Closing in on a week of solid smoke and fire all around. Thankfully we haven't been evacuated as of yet, however I'm about 2-3 miles from one of the fires and if it crests the mountain evac is a certainty. Truck is connected to the sorrento and wife knows to meet at river and board and make the run to San Fran. It's been a crazy hellish week. My house is right under the "union" text.

Good luck and be careful. We’ve had lots of smoke here in Sacramento, but I can’t imagine what you guys have to deal with right now.

Good luck and be safe if you do have to evac.

I've never been in a situation where I had to evac due to a fire. What stuff do you take from your home before you leave?

Clothes for the kids. Important paperwork (as cards, birth certs, etc...) and a few clothes for ourselves are packed. Nothing in this house I can't buy again or isn't covered on insurance.

Supposedly the air quality scale goes 0-300.... they said it was 303 yesterday. Everyone wearing masks outside. Amazing how many people are actually out and about. Ive been working all week. But I see quite a few tourists out.

We got flooded in 2013 Had water come up 2 feet on outside of house. The street was a lake. We are located 20 feet above normal river level and 500 feet from normal water edge.
No one died. In the end that is all that matters. The stuff you loose is only stuff. Feel sorry for those that died in the fires.

My Step son is at Travis AFB. He is renting a room off base, said he has his van packed and ready as they're in the red zone.
By nieces husband is a firefighter in the Phoenix area, a few of them are there helping, and sonenof our local firemen left yesterday.
Best of luck to you guys in that area, its bad.
