We don't have it on our older boat but I'm pretty sure I've read this question asked before and believe it was for the fresh water pump?

It depends. I think I read once it is the universal symbol for "electronics" and is on those switch pads of all Sundancer of that era since the same switch pad was used across multiple models. On the 300DA and the 320DA I know it is not connected to anything. I believe the 280DA is the model that uses it for water pump (going on memory here so not sure). Not sure on 340DA. Hopefully one of those owners will post.

Yup, this question is one of the many recurring questions on this site.

I have the same button/icon on my 215 Express Cruiser and it primes the fresh water pump for pressure. You should hear it cut on when pressed.

That was the fresh water pump on my 280. I now have a 320 which has the fresh water pump breaker so the button is not in use. It actually makes more sense to have the breaker in the circuit box rather than a button on the dash panel.

Same on my 2004. Its designated for the fresh water pump but on the 340 we also have the breaker at the panel so I believe it's an extra.

It is the fresh water pump on boats that do not have the breaker in the electronics panel. I use it as an accessory switch for my autopilot. There is a terminated wire coming out of the EMU under the dash that is fused. Will have to do some investigating to figure out which fuse actually controls it. Cannot remember what mine said, but don't believe it was water pump. Couldn't be that easy, lol.

no. no, no. It's the Inverted pump cam follower primer. You have to push it several times.
I crack myself up....
Actually, I think it's the symbol for "Accessory" so it could be anything. I doubt it would blow anything up, so push it and listen and look around. Or you could look under the dash and see if it is actually connected to anything. Or you could get really tech and get a DMM, put it in current mode, put it between the battery post and the ground wire for that battery and push the switch and see if there is any current drain.
Just a thought.

Do you have a cigarette lighter socket on your boat? Maybe it switches that.

On my 260DA the same icon on the "peanut" switch pad controlled the fresh water pump. On the 340SDA it does not seem connected to anything - hence why I think it is a spare. In my owners manual it is labeled as "Water System".
