Glad to say that after forcing water thru for awhile, the port for the forward AC opened up! We had a bad storm and it appears there was mud or dirt in the line.

Me too! I have been looking at it and not sure yet how to get the sending unit out. The people at the marina said they would have to cut a hole in the deck, pull it out, put in the new one and then patch the hole! Not sure yet that I want to go that way so I continue to look

I whole heartly agree that starting the thing up in gear would not be a smart thing to do! My wife would not like it, the boat next to me would not like or nor the boat in front of me! And I think it would scare the sea water out of me too! and maybe I am not describing the symptoms well enough...

did you just remove them and bypass the switch? is there an option to replace them and if so any idea where one might get the parts? Is there a safety risk in removing them?

new problem!!!! starboard motor shifter has to be wiggled, jiggled and bumped to allow me to start the motor. I believe there is a neutral safety switch somewhere that could be the culprit. Any idea where it is and if I can find a replacement for it? thanks!
