I started sanding them and getting ready to apply the prop speed. Hopefully it will help out with the brake down of the material in the props and stay cleaner.
There are small dark specs in the bronze after polishing. Those are the signs of the material breaking down. My question is would speed prop slow this process down or increase the process of the material breaking down? These are pictures of before and after, none of the pictures will show the...
Here the quotes I got after the fact. If the workmen ship is done right, I is worth it.
I also had Johnny Propeller with MRI system quote me at $650
Very good review with Black dog.
I took my props to a local prop shop without pricing around. I have 23 x27 bronze propellers four blades. Holland propeller quoted me $935 to bring him to class one. They were not in bad shape meaning no hits or dings on them. I just figured that was the going rate and paid it. I was...
I have Bronze 23x27 Propellers, Will Propspeed reduce Corrosion? I Just had them Adjusted to class 1 and went I went to go pick them up and after I paid the guy 2K, he said said the props were corroding and will last 10 years max. I was thinking about Appling Propspeed to extends the life...
I have some TaylorMade black fenders that are probably as old as the boat. That are leaving black streaks down the side of the boat and also have some dry rot in the center. I am looking to buy some new 12 by 36 black fenders. How long will a last outside on the front of the boat before they...
I thought I may have seen you go by Rivers Edge Marina last Saturday. O am waiting for River Haven to get my boat out of the building so I can bottom paint it.
Here it is on my Carver. I did the same thing to my Sea Ray but used a piece of welding rod. Welded the rod onto the bracket and broke it off when install. Lot better than just nuts and washers. If I was in salt water I would use Stainless steel instead of carbon steel.
I build a backing plate with the holes threaded of the Weaver hole pattern and used a stick of welding rode welded on to the bracket.
On this Carver I accually well a 1/4 socket to the home made backing plate and used a long 1/4 drive exstention. Work sweet.
Funny, I used to Hate Carver. Thought they were cheaply made after looking at a few of them in my younger years.
I have owned two Sea rays, four Four winns, one Power Play and now a Carver. I thought the Four Winns had better build Quality than the Sea Rays. Power Play beat them all. Now...
I just bought a new Hightfield cl310. 10 foot dinghy with an Aluminum hull 125 pounds. . The boat has a 16 degree dead rise in the rear and up more towards the front. I am looking at different methods to mount on the back of the boat. I have been using the Weaver method. I would like to...
